Clarins Spring 2017 arrives this week with a new delightful Skin Illusion Blush that brings back to days of old. Anyone remember Lorac’s very fun Cheek Stamp Blush circa 2009? What’s old is new again with these limited edition Clarins Skin Illusion Blush shades!

Take a peek!

So, I loved the Lorac Cheek Stamp Blushes (I probably still have them! Not that I’d use them now but I do so love hoarding away my old makeup)! These basically have a dense circular sponge with blush that fits the bottom well of the packaging. The sponge saturates with color and you can smile and dab them on your cheeks!

Clarin’s version has exactly the same packaging. There formula is a mineral blush that promises a glow-y finish! It’s available in three shade selections which are unnamed aside from numbers! One appears to be a pretty coral, a light sheer baby pink, and the other is a dark bronze. They are cute but I’m a little iffy on the shade selection but promo images are never quite right. I do like the coral though!

The collection also includes Clarins Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm ($20) which is a sheer rose lip balmy that provides eight hours of moisture and has a fruity peach flavor.

Clarins Spring 2017 is available now at Nordstrom.com.

I’m so happy to see new seasonal items from Clarins. They have been a little quiet in the US with their makeup releases lately!

By the way, I got involved in rewatching the The Reichenbach Fall last night and I can’t help but think about all the villains in my life and how Jim is right up there with the best of the best of them. Truly seeing him in the crown jewels is one of life’s greatest joys.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Andrew Scott’s version of Moriarty is amazing! He’s thrilling with his portrayal, I can’t look away just in case I miss any nuance of what he’s going to do next.

He steals ever scene he’s in. Forget Sherlock, all eyes on Jim! lol!

Hi guys, miss me? 🙂 I agree on the Sherlock shows–last night’s new one was pretty good, but not Crown Jewel good. I do love Watson. Also, love this from Clarins; their makeup is terrific.
Have a good week, all! Elaine

I received both the pink and coral last week and they are nice and small but so cute. The pink is a nice light shade of pink with just a hint of peach and the coral is more peachy coral and light, both are easy to blend and went on smoothly. I may go back for the bronze colored one. They are so cute on my make-up table and in the cold winter such a nice treat to use and think of Spring!
