Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo ($32) is a new hydrating lipstick with a silky formula that contains shea butter and jojoba to nourish dry lips. Some of you might recall Hourglass Cosmetics Femme Nude Lip Stylo from 2013 which look an awful lot like Girl Lip Stylo. Main difference being Girl Lip Stylo is available in a wide assortment of shades and apparently this formula is much more hydrating.

Carisa Janes, Hourglass Founder, totes these new Girl Lip Stylo Lipsticks has having a formula that leaves lips soft and hydrates while providing a sheer pop of color or can easily be built up for more intensity. The satiny formula has a silky, soft finish according to the brand and the precise tip allows precise application without the need for sharpening.

Keep in mind Femme Nude were a bit on the dry side in my opinion so, I’m hoping for something much more hydrating from Girl Lip Stylo as promised!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I got one of these in Peacemaker as a reward from Sephora. It’s not really a color I’d wear but the feeling on my lips and moisturizing was so out of this world good that I ordered it in Dreamer. I’ll probably buy Explorer too. The price is crazy but I knew it would be because I use an Hourglass primer. I am not a lipstick lover so I was willing to pay a bit more for this.
