Lorac Spring 2017 Featuring Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette

Lorac Spring 2017 arrives with the new California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette and California Dreaming Cheek Palette! I always get terribly excited when Lorac releases a new eyeshadow palette but for one I feel like maybe I don’t need to jump so quickly for these two!

Hmmm!

Let’s take a look and see how you feel about them!

Lorac California Dreaming Cheek Palette $30
Four limited edition highlighters, blush, and bronzers.

Shades include:

  • Sunlight
  • Wavelength
  • Ray
  • Golden Hour

Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette $30
12 matte and shimmer shades of eyeshadow inspired by Los Angles!

Shades include:

  • Button
  • Starfish
  • Cozy
  • Bonfire
  • Overcast
  • Bonfire
  • Hot Toddy
  • Cable Knit
  • Seaside
  • Sand Castle
  • Boots
  • Kitty Cat
  • 65 Degrees

This is the first time in a long time I haven’t jumped on a Lorac limited edition collection. The shades aren’t quite doing it for me in this release. I love my Unzipped Blush Palette but the California Dreaming Cheek Palette doesn’t quite look like a round of shades I’d use daily. I also thought the shades in the eyeshadow palette weren’t quite me either.

Anyone jump on this yet?

Loves it?

Leaves it?

Do share!

The Lorac Spring 2017 Collection is available now at Ulta.com and at kohls.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. These sets do not look any special. . I checked ingredients in this eyeshadow palette. Only 2 of the 12 shades have talc as first ingredient. The other ingredients all contain stuff I never heard of. I guess the formula changed for this new palette compared to other Lorac palettes.

I’m waiting for swatches of the cheek palette and the eye palette is a pass for me.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the eye shadow palette at Ulta.com yesterday. I logged on to purchase the new Urban Decay palette, so I of course bought the Lorac one, too. Ulta doesn’t have the cheek palette (yet), but I don’t think I’ll be getting that anyway, even though I do love Lorac blushes.

I skipped, the colors don’t exactly look like something I need. I actually surprised myself, I thought for sure I’d need it and ended up saying naaa!

I used to love Lorac. I’ve been pretty disappointed with their last few lines. I guess it’s time to find a new favorite.

I stopped in Kohls as I was reading your blog while at lunch. They had everything but the eye shadows. I tried the lippies and actually liked 3 of them and found them wearable.

I actually like the packaging, though to me it seems more Nordic than Californian. I’ve never worn Lorac, and I’ve heard good things about their eye palettes, but I truly do not want another 12-pan palette of anything. I’m all about the mini palettes lately and hope the new mini viseart comes back in stock.

I’m kinda meh on the cheek palette, I feel like it’s too easily duped. But the eyeshadows! These are exactly my kind of colors! I waited a good fifteen minutes for a poor Ulta associate to pull it out of the back for me and I’ve used it every day since I bought it. After the mint condition palette being such a disappointment a few years ago I didn’t think I’d be into Lorac again. (Sorry, the pro palettes just didn’t excite me and their lip products gave me an allergic reaction.) Of course, the item I’m so pumped about seems to be getting a lot of mixed reviews lol.

I bought the eyeshadow palette. It suckered me right in with cats on it lol but the colors are all very good for me and there is a nice combination there to do multiple looks. I haven’t purchased an eye palette since the first release of the Too Faced Peach because I promised myself I’d behave for awhile. It’s rare to see a palette that I’ll actually use every color, and this one I will. However, that being said I could see where some would pass on this. The colors look like they’d be easily found in other sets or singles, but for me, they were exactly what I needed.

The blush palette is simply amazing. The look very meh in the pan but when you put it on, magic happens!
