Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. It’s not new but it’s interesting — I picked up some 10% glycolic acid cream along with some other skin care items in a post-holiday Ulta sale, and WOW. I’ve only been using it for a week but my skin feels soooo much smoother. I probably should have started with 5% but I’m mixing it with moisturizer until my skin adjusts.

I agree about the new year making me feel like revving up my skin care, but I hate to buy new expensive products until I read reviews.

Reviva Labs 10% Glycolic Acid Cream. They make a 5% but I don’t think Ulta carries it. It did sting a bit at first but I’m really liking the results.

I have decided that this year I am going to improve/develop my skincare arsenal.
I have started using La Roche Posay’s SPF line: Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Ultra Light – for sunscreen as it is necessary in the harsh Australian sun. I apply it over primer and it has worked well on my skin.
Secondly, I am using their Intense Anti Redness calming cream to soothe the redness I have on my cheeks and after a few days I can see the difference.
I am also using Dr. Lewinn’s Cleansing Milk – fabulous gentle cleanser that takes off makeup. And I am finishing off their Serum and Night Moisturising cream, which I can also recommend. I have ‘mature’ sensitive and dry skin.
The products you have suggested Isabella, look really good quality ones. I hope you get to try them and find that they work for you.
