Imagine my surprise when I picked up a pack of Swisspers Mini Blending Sponges for a mere $2.98 at the evil empire recently (Walmart). These little blending sponge beauties are perfect for blending out concealer under your eyes or even for using with cream highlights or super pigmented blushes that you want to apply as a sheer wash of color on cheeks. Each pack holds two different colored mini sponges and they are identical to the the $18 Beautyblende Micro Mini Duo.

I can’t recall, because I’m having one of those days, where I originally tried the Beautyblender Micro Mini. I know I didn’t buy a duo for myself but I recall the mini came with another palette, product, or something!? I was smitten with it on first try. It’s a rather handy little tool that’s ultra small and deal for patting concealer under eyes or around your face or working with cream highlighters or even using it with products like E.L.F.’s ultra pigmented Studio HD Blush as it’ll sheer the formula out and allow for a pretty, natural finish. I used mine until it tore. It’s a little bit of a pain to cleanse it since it is very tiny but I loved the small size none the less.

I have to admit I never paid $18 to replace it though. Far be it for me to begrudge myself something I love due to a price but lord knows, to of those little sponges at $18 seemed a lot of money.

Imagine my delight and surprise when I rather randomly came across Swisspers Mini Blending Sponges. These are $2.98 a pack and are just as good as Beautyblender’s version! They are dense but soft and work a treat for all the things I listed above. I especially love them for using them to apply thicker concealers like Tarte’s Shape Tape.

If you loved Beautyblender Micro Mini Blending Sponges as much as I did but hate the price these Swisspers Mini Blending Sponges are perfect for you!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Hey Muse. My Walmart are selective in which ones get good cosmetics or get them late. I wanted to give you a heads up that Physicians Formula has a lot of new products (mascara, brow, eyeliner, setting spray) including a concealer with the beauty blender in the pack, they only have 2 shades though. Many have coupons or rebates attached. I spotted them at Rite-Aid buy 1 get 1 Free.

awesome thanks Adrienne! Have to be on the look out 😀 So far only tried the highlighter, new elixir oil, and eyeshadow palette.

Yes I am curious to hear your thoughts because I know you love your concealers. I am going to try the newest Super Walmart because that’s a bargain for blenders.

I’m going to try to hit up bed, bath, and beyond and see if they have them 😀 Maybe I’ll get lucky!

ok, for $3 I will spring for these, but no way in he!! was I gonna koff up $18 for those eensy weensy little sponges!! $3 is a lot more palatable to me, esp. since I’m not sure I’ll like ’em… So glad you posted this Muse! Happy New Year!!

Ive had these for a couple months now and they are the only thing I use to apply Colourpop shadows. They work perfectly for the eyelid! And especially with the Colourpop glitters – I discovered that its best to use them dry, and they pick up and apply the most product.

    • Isabella Muse

oh good idea! I was using them with colourpop blush but the shadow is an excellent idea! Thanks!

I’ve been using these for a while and love them. I’ll never buy the mini beauty blenders.

Mine were super hard! And they barely expanded when wet :(The micro mini BBs are too dang slippery, but the texture is unbeatable. I’ll try these guys again with my Colourpop products!

really?! Mine were quite soft! But I didn’t use them wet so can’t chat on that!
