Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm ($2.99) is a new lip gel lip balm that gives lips a sheer hint of color and a gorgeous glossy finish. Wet n Wild launched these new Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balms with their Spring 2017 Collection in seven yummy shades.

Here’s a look at my review and swatches.

I think we have firmly established I’m a lip balm junkie and even though I don’t need more (I have enough for all of to get through the zombie apocalypse) I still feel the need to try any and all new formulas that launch.

So, of course, I had to grab up Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm to see what the deal was. These delightful little lip balms come housed in simple black packaging with a clear lid that’s 0.17 oz in size. I had one minor issue with the packaging, the balm doesn’t swivel completely down. This drives me a little batty since I tend to take a chunk off my balm when replacing the cap if I’m in a hurry. Aside from that, I thought the packaging quite reminded me of Wet n Wild from back in the day. The balm has a certain vintage feel to it.

These are apparently Wet n Wild’s first gel lip balm. Honestly, it could be the first gel lip balm I ever tried even though I’m a lip balm connoisseur. I honestly I can’t think of any gel lip balms I have at the moment only gel lipsticks.

These are formulated with Avocado Oil and Vitamin E. The formula is very pleasant with a soft texture that’s definitely gel-like in consistency that applies easily on lips with a melt-y feel. They deliver a very nice burst of light hydration and a glossy finish with a pretty touch of color. I got the shade Tell, which was a milky nude peach that was fairly obvious on my lips so, there is pigment to be had here. I loved how glossy they made my lips yet remained lightweight and non-tacky or sticky. My lips are crazy parched right now and this formula was pleasantly hydrating through the wear. They had no fragrance or flavor.

All in all, Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm is a pleasant way to add color, shine, and most importantly moisture to lips on the cheap. At $2.99 each these are a nice little lip balm with a great formula.

Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm is available now at drugstores.

I purchased this item.

I bought these in a couple different shades the other day, but I haven’t tried them yet..

I have way too many lip balms also. I’ll never get through them all.

Yesterday I went to Rite Aid and three shades. Rule/plum, Love/pinkish rose, and Play/orange. I’m really liking them! Also excitingly waiting for WetnWild shipment ordered a couple of liquid lipsticks, a backup of the little chubby idol eyes cream eyeshadows pencils love those! The Quarts purplish eyeshadow set already have the Nudes and they are good. The Floral stick blush, a stick highliter since you had to order those to get free shipment and more highliters I don’t need. Lol!

I liked these or at least the one I got, love/pinkish rose. Because I have a deep skin tone I was worried when I did a swatch at home it would be to garish and pink. Much to my suprise it was subtle and very was to wear. Although i did find it peeled a bit when I took a closer look. Other then that I agree with your review. I think I’m gonna pick up that plum shade tomorrow when I stock up on some other beauty supplies.
