Kiko Less Is Better Cream Blush Review & Swatches
The warm weather is coming! Time to haul out your creamy blushes! Kiko Less Is Better Cream Blush ($14) is a perfect pick for dewy, natural, and cute color for the warmer weather ahead. Kiko released these new, limited edition lightweight water-based blushes with the first one of their capsule collections created in collaboration with SuperDuper Handmade Hats. You’ll be seeing several more collaborations in the upcoming seasons and months that will also appear in Vogue Italia.
Their Less is More Collection couldn’t launch at a better time as natural, pretty makeup for Spring is always a perfect pick. Lightweight, more natural makeup is a refreshing change after all the contouring, highlighting, and bold lips we did all Winter long.
It’s weird because people always tell me, “Well, why do you like cream blushes in the warm weather? Shouldn’t you bring them out the Winter when your skin is drier?” I dunno, maybe I’m wrong but I commonly associate the lighter textures of cream blushes with warm weather.
Here’s a some thoughts, swatches, and a review on Kiko Kess is Better Cream Blush.
You have to rave Kiko’s ability to package and produce beautifully formulas yet still maintain an affordable price tag. These blushes arrive you in a pretty frosted glass jar that holds 0.52 oz of blush with a lovely $14 price tag. You really can’t beat the price.
Sadly, they are only available in two shades one of which was a little too sheer for me. If Kiko decides at some point to release more colors, I’d totally be on board with purchasing them. But right now Less is Better Cream Blush is sadly, limited edition.
In keeping with the pink and brown natural look they are going for these two blushes arrive in a sheerer pale role shade called Impalpable Rose and a deeper plummy rose mauve called Tenuous Mauve. Tenuous Rose had the best pigment for me where as Impalpable Rose was much more sheerer and would be best suited to very pale skin tones.
These have a dense yet silky thin texture that’s water-based and glides onto skin in a very smooth, even finish. They aren’t a texture that clings to drier areas and the finish is very natural and flawless. I wouldn’t say they set to a powder but the formula does remain every so slightly dewy but never sticky nor tacky. They have a cool, refreshing feel as you apply which is quite delightful. Blending was very easy as well. They are probably one of the easiest cream blushes I’ve had the pleasure of using. The soft focused, natural finish gives cheeks a burst of pretty color that makes you look like your naturally blushing. The wear time is fairly good as well! My skin tends to eat up cream blush but I got a nice 7 hour wear with fading at just the 7 hour mark.
If you’re lover of cream blushes I wouldn’t miss out on these. They are cool, refreshing, easy to apply, and they give you that just be kissed flush that’s perfectly natural and great for Spring looks!
