About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. you know i have to get that dry shampoo. LOL. the hair product junkie in me can’t even. the packaging is so pretty! do you know if it is coming to Sephora or Ulta?

    • Isabella Muse

haha 😀 I’m a little taken back to be honest, I’m kind of on the fence, Tarte, haircare? It’s confusing 😀 I imagine Sephora will def get it soon! Not Ulta though as Ulta didn’t get any of the other Spring launches like the tinted moisturizer, etc.

it is so confusing that they went into hair care, which makes me even more intrigued to give it a shot! plus, i’m a bit of a dry shampoo addict LOL

        • Isabella Muse

haha or deo for that matter 🙂 let me know how it is. I’m one of those people that has to wash my hair everyday or I don’t feel clean so I don’t really use dry shampoo but I’d be willing to try the deo!

It’s interesting. I like the idea of the little gym essentials kit; fits with the athleisure theme. I’ll wait for them to drop at Sephora though.

    • Isabella Muse

It’s odd to me to see one of my fav makeup brands doing deo yanno?

  • Steph

As a vegan, I love it and definitely had to put away my phone the other day when I got the email about these! Not sure it’ll get to me to switch from my current faves, but I admit I’ll probably try the deo, dry shampoo, and teeth whitener (and if I don’t love them, they’ll be relegated to my swim/gym bag, so no harm no foul [or so I tell myself!]).

Mmmmh…. is everything still made in the U.S..? They are coming out with something new every hour. There have been ‘misses’. I am a Tarte fan. Still buying the tinted primer, blush and Sunguard.

    • Isabella Muse

depends. Some items are, some aren’t. Not sure about these but I imagine so as individual product releases seem to be made in the US but bigger palettes from the Holidays are made in china.

  • Jean

I just want the blush! But is it a miniature of one that came out already or is it a new one?

    • Isabella Muse

Not sure, I’ve never heard of it before but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been in some kit 🙂

  • Penny

IMO, I think it is kind of strange that they are now suddenly selling hair care products, etc. For some reason, I feel like they are targeting a younger demographic these days. I miss seeing Maureen on the Q too. 🙁

    • Isabella Muse

mmm, yes, their brand seems focused on twenty somethings. I feel slightly out of touch lately with Tarte because of that!

  • Sharon Starr

Ummm, no. This just doesn’t work or settle right with me. Tarte is beautiful cosmetics. Leave my pits alone please!
