Hard Candy Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer ($6) is a new and brilliantly pigmented lipgloss that’s available in several shades for the Summer 2017 season. Hard Candy has launched a few variations of these lip tints over the last year or so including Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color that I reviewed several months ago.

So, it’s not secret that I love lipgloss. I actually prefer it over lipstick because it’s easier to touch up, it feels hydrating on my drier lips, and I love shine. A match made in heaven right? But a lot of lipglosses are pretty sheer and lacking in the pigment department which is why I’m always excited to run across products like Hard Candy Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer which not only get me the shine finish I love but also pack plenty of pigment.

And did I mention they are a mere six bucks?

Hard Candy Wet Ever Bold Hold Lip Lacquer come housed in a cute tin that resembles Nudestix packaging. Inside the tin you’ll find a flat tube 0.22 oz lipgloss that resembles the flat packaging we’ve seen from products like Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipgloss, RMK Classic Film Cheeks, and of course, Hourglass Extreme Sheen. The packaging is quite well though out as there’s even a mirror inside that allows for easy application although, it might be a little bulky to travel with it or even store it. None the less, for six bucks, you can’t deny this is a beautifully packaged lipgloss. The actually gloss tube has a 3D melting design on it that’s rather cool! Kind of reminds me of the little droplets of water that appears on the MAC Alluring Aquatics packaging.

I’m rarely disappointed with Hard Candy’s offerings so it wasn’t any great surprise I loved these ligplosses. They are have a fabulous formula and the price point is fantastic. These are a rich, creamy texture that isn’t tacky or sticky in the least. They apply smoothly, evenly, and have a nice hydrating plush feel on my drier lips with a wear of 5 hours. A single layer produces opaque pigmented color with a high shine finish. I absolutely loved how shiny these were not to mention how incredibly pigmented they were. They have the color pay off of a lipstick and the beautiful shine of a lipgloss. And all this for six bucks.
