E.L.F. Introduces Aqua Beauty Cushion Eyeshadow Palettes

The new E.L.F. Aqua Beauty Cushion Eyeshadow Palette ($12.99) has my attention today. Anyone remember the E.L.F. Aqua Beauty Blush & Bronzer Palette that launched with the E.L.F. Aqua Beauty Collection in Spring 2016? Looks like these new eyeshadow palettes take on the same interesting formula as those blush/bronzer palettes!

These new creamy powder shadows have a dewy finish and a matte and shimmer finish that applies like a creamy but sets to a smooth powder. The soft, melt-y texture makes application easy and mess-free that allows for layering to create a bold look or applied lightly for a sheerer finish!

Each palette holds six different shades and they are available in two shade selections called Island Breeze and Cool Mist. These are a little expensive by E.L.F. standards at nearly $13 dollars each but considering the amount of sales and coupon codes the brand offers I don’t think you’ll ever pay full price!

I actually wish they released a nude, natural palette but I’d be willing to try Island Breeze which is filled with a few shades that I quite like.

You can grab these now at elfcosmetics.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m intrigued. Maybe next time a good sale rolls around …

Some of the shades (rose toned colors) IMO are very nice, however, unfortunately these shadows looks way too frosty. I couldn’t pull them off. My eyelids would look like disco balls! I really loved Josie Maran’s liquid metallic eyeshadows. The colors were beautiful and perfect for hot summer, as they were slightly cooling and they did not budge on

I’ve been wearing a ELF aqua lip stain , the red/ orange one and I like it. Goes on really well and stains nicely. Like this Aqua line.

These look interesting; I haven’t had previously good experience with ELF shadows though.

These look cool, but you are right about the price. I’ll have to wait for a sale but a lot of times their sales don’t include new products. If you review these and they end up being awesome then I might cave.

I love the shades but I’ll say no to too much sparkle at my age cutting back on those already having a few from Colourpop supershock they fall on my tear duct no need to apply anything on purpose there and I don’t do that but is kind of fun I must admit. I see glitter in the morning even after washing my face at night but I love all the mermaid/unicorn craziness going on these days so I don’t mind i enjoy the mess. Is a lovely kind of mess all the sparkles.

So are these a cream? I get so confused when they describe eye shadows as a “creamy powder”.
