Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Like Switchblade for Your Lashes

Just think about the possibilities of Dally whipping out Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara mid-Greasers and Socs fight to do his lashes. Do you think everyone would be captivated by his switchblade-like mascara or would they probably think the same thing I did, “Do I really need a 90 degree bendable brush to do my lashes with or fight the good fight against the Socs!?” Pony probably would have been impressed but I’m not sure I am.

These are the types of things that keep me up at night.

Remember Givenchy is the innovator behind that spiked ball mascara we have all come to know and love but Noir Interdit Mascara takes a different route with this new blendable brush. Yup, it blends at a 90 degree angle that gives you more control over how you apply mascara to your lashes. Basically it acts to reach lashes at the root so, you’ll press the application against your lash line and move the applicator in a zigzag motion to grab lashes at the root and build length. You can unbend the brush to get more volume to your look.

And I’m obviously getting old because it sounds like an utter gimmick and it I don’t care what anyone says it looks like a switchblade.

But I’m not writing off completely yet, some weird corner of my mind is telling me I must try it.

Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara is available for greasers or socs at neimanmarcus.com and is coming soon to sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This is not a new concept at all. There have been these types of mascara in the past. I think every 10-15 years companies look back and see what was all the rage and then they just try to reintroduce it because there is a whole new generation of people out there that didn’t know it existed previously. I believe Avon had a version of this type of wand and maybe CoverGirl or it could have been Maybelline or even Revlon, I don’t remember, all I know is that there was a wand like this in the past. And Givenchy is too rich for my blood so this is a complete gimmick to me! But Muse, if you do try it, I would definitely be interested in your opinion.

Yes, I know I’ve seen this before.

Love reference to The Outsiders. I was obsessed with that movie back in the day.

So my immediate thought is that if you want to switch the angle you will have to touch it and get mascara all over your fingers. And then the contamination possibility. Gah my OCD will not allow this lol.

Ponyboy would just break a pop bottle and be done with it! Johnny was murder with a switchblade! (ha! too soon?)
