Bare Minerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation for Fall 2017

Bare Minerals Bare Pro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation ($34) is the latest liquid foundation to arrive from the brand in time for the Fall 2017 season. I always feel slightly odd when I see a liquid or cream foundation from Bare Minerals. It’s just not their thing is it? But it has become their thing that’s for sure as at this point they have released several cream and liquid foundations that have become staple products for lovers of Bare Minerals.

Here’s the deets on the latest one.

barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation ($34) is available in a whopping 30 shade selections. This is a lightweight, oil-free texture with a blend of mineral pigments that contains lipids to lock in coverage and promises transfer-resistant. The finish is matte and provides full-coverage.

Apparently, this acts as a skincare because as you wear it a blend of ingredients including papaya enzymes improve skin’s texture so your foundation and your skin looks softer and smoother. As with all Bare Minerals makeup this won’t clog your pores and promises a pure formula that’s good for your skin.

I tend to be hit and miss with Bare Minerals foundations including their loose mineral one that makes me itch like crazy. That’s not to say I haven’t had good experiences with them, because I have, but I’m always naturally wary of trying any of their new foundations because of my hit and miss experiences.

Bare Minerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation sounds interesting enough but I may wait for the reviews to start rolling in before I indulge.

Bare Minerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation is available now at Ulta.com and ships free and will be available soon at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The loose foundation makes me itch too! But I loved the way it looked. I’ve never tried their liquid foundations but may give them a try. Sephora is pretty good about returns.

bismuth! forged in hell! LOL! Hit or miss on the liquids, sometimes a bit too greasy for me but this sounds good!

I don’t doubt they will! Looks like Ulta got first dibs is all 😀

It is set to air during The Find Aug 1st on QVC. It most likely will come with a brush. When they introduce their new foundations on QVC, they tend to come with one I’ve noticed.

I am excited to try this one! I was sad to discover that their Made 2 Fit Foundation can only be had if you go into a boutique and get scanned with the app or if you have an apple device you can scan at home and order your Made 2 Fit Foundation that way. I am an Android user and felt shafted that I couldn’t scan with an app at home too! 🙁 I usually try new BM products right away because I just can’t stand to wait! I agree about the Bismuth…that stuff is horrid, but the Bare Minerals Loose Matte Foundation works like a charm for me since it is Bismuth free!!! 🙂

I guess there is an Android app coming. But I wish it was here now. I wanted to try it too. It’s not easy to get to a boutique for me. I have seen so many people ask for the matte loose to be in a TSV. I wonder if they will ever do it? I should try the matte again. I like that it’s Bismuth free. It just hasn’t been cost effective for me to try the matte again since they just never have it in a TSV.

Hey, Everyone! Here’s a little tip that may be of benefit to some. Try mixing loose mineral foundation with Maqpro Makeup Mixer as it works way better than just mixing with moisturizer because the Maqpro really emulsifies the mineral particles and you can then apply it as you would any liquid or cream foundation with your preferred method. You can also control the coverage by the amount of Maqpro that you choose to use. It will give you a good feel for how the new Bare Minerals Bare Pro foundation will perform for you.

As to the bismuth issue, I hear you loud and clear as I have had issues with eye shadows that contain it but not with foundation products that do. If you experience severe reactions, do not use any products that contain it; better to be safe than sorry. Remember this sage phrase, an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure. This saying goes through my mind every time I spot anything that resembles poison ivy. I learned the hard way.

I bought this foundation this past weekend! I am in complete shock and awe as to how amazing it is. Truly my new holy grail, puts my EL Double Wear to shame. Bought the brush too, which is ok, but I might return it. The foundation feels lightweight, wears all day long, doesn’t break apart on my oily skin and is so incredibly smoothing, it looked as though I had no pores. Pure insanity!

    • Miranda

I am so happy to here a oily skin person enjoys this because I have not found a good foundation yet it always disappears after 4 or 5 hours or less I’m glad you replied Katie because I bought this from ULTA and I wasn’t to excited to try another unworthy product this gives me hope.

Heads up! I went to my local Ulta today and they had a huge display of all of these foundations with testers. I couldn’t believe it! Normally makeup products are available online weeks before in-store. If you don’t want to try this foundation via mail order and there is an Ulta near you, call them and see if they have these in stock. I was shook that was able to pick this foundation up today. I haven’t tried it on my face yet but on my hands it reminded me of ELDW, only less drying, and it is definitely full coverage.
