Milk Makeup Dab + Blend Applicator for Fall 2017

If the silicone sponge bug hasn’t bitten you yet the new Milk Makeup Dab + Blend Applicator ($14) might convince you to climb aboard this trend train. The silicone gel applicator started a few months ago with youTubers raving how easy it was to apply their makeup using one and how much better this applicatoe was because it didn’t soak up makeup like a blending sponge does.

Milk Makeup’s version comes housed in a holographic carrying pouch (because unicorns right?) and has a sparkly finish on the sponge itself. It’s a non-porous applicator so it won’t soak up your foundation the way a normal sponge would and it glides onto skin easily leaving behind smooth, even coverage. It also rinses easily with a little soap and water.

If you’re wanting to try the silicone gel sponge trend you can try out Milk Makeup Dab + Blend Applicator now as it’s available at Sephora.com.

I have two of these, a SiliSponge and an Evie Blender and I just don’t get it. My makeup looks like it’s sitting on my skin instead of blended into my skin and I always end up going back to my traditional beauty sponge. It’s a really cool idea and I love how it means less waste, though! And it’s packaged so pretty.

I haven’t tried one but you pretty much confirmed what I thought would happen!

I tried one too and Sarah is right. The makeup never sets into your skin. I tried about 4 different cream and liquid formulas and it was a big ole mess.

I have an Evie Blender and I love it! I think it sets the makeup perfectly.
I suppose everyone is different, but I really like mine! It’s also really easy to clean. I just pour on a little baby shampoo and gently roll it between my fingers and rinse- sparkling clean.

Isabella, I totally think you should try out a silicone blender (or even the Evie Blender!)
        Life changing 🙂

Ok! I’ll give it a try at your word 😀 Review upcoming after I try 😀

Please tell me your secrets! How do you get your makeup to set just right? I pat and roll like the tutorials say, but it just never looks as blended as with a standard sponge. I want to love my Evie Blender, help!

Of course!!! I don’t know if I have any *amazing* technique tips. For me, I just remember to use less product than I think I need, and it blends really well. Maybe the problem is that you are applying the amount of makeup you would need for full coverage with a wet traditional blender? The EB doesn’t absorb any makeup, so maybe try using a little less product? It was definitely an adjustment for me 🙂
Also, I vary between “pat and roll” and just plain ol light dabbing, and I love my EB.
Let me know if this helps you!!!
