I’m not really one that concentrates on my skincare in the Summer because I really go lighter in the warmer weather. Because who wants to wear a ton of lotions and potions on their face plus a ton of SPF on a hot, sunny day. Right? Less is more when it comes to Summer skincare but load up on the SPF for sure.

But as a skincare junkie this doesn’t prevent me from wanting to try all the latest and greatest skincare picks and there are plenty to choose from.

Here’s some that caught my eye.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The FAB and Farmacy products are two I am interested in. There are a few Paula’s Choice products that I’m curious about as well – Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Lotion and Resist Omega Complex.

I saw a new L’Oreal clay mask the other day – it was blue. Really kind of a pretty french gray/blue color…. But I think it said it was a blemish mask? And there was a clay mask.cleanser thing in a tube too. Sounds like an oily skin products to me, so I didn’t pay a lot of attention to them.. I have 2 of the original clay masks – the Glow (red algae) one and the…. detox one, I think it is – black with charcoal?

There’s a new yellow one too – Bright clay with yuzu to even tone and “illuminate” skin… May look into that one when it shows up. 🙂

Superfoods selection leads to a do not currently carry page. That could mean it’s coming. Most of the S clay masks have Benzyl salicylate, which might be a no go, as it is a known immune disrupter…look it up. It is not regulated here, but is elsewhere. Fairly common ingredient in many products, so clearly does not have an immediate effect on many people. That one left me out for mufe waterblend, which I loved, but could not tolerate. iirc, Cosdna gives bs a 7 (worst) on safety. Also can’t do the Paula AHA, but picked up derma e overnight peel, that Beautypedia gives 5 stars. Cheap, and Ulta, too. Big Paula fan. Will check the omega. Thanks, Dee.
