It’s here! The new YSL All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation ($58) is now available and just in time for Fall looks too. It seems like matte foundation is a trending for autumn but I sure hope I’m wrong because let’s be honest matte is hard to pull off in the cooler weather when your skin is a bit drier. But let’s defend the finish a little bit by saying that recent matte releases have been quite wearable and not nearly as drying as they used to me.

YSL’s new All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation is making reasonable claims like wearing for 24 hours straight. There’s some sarcasm in there I’m sure, hopefully you caught that 🙂

This is formulated without oil and is a transfer-proof formula that promises to not melt off your face while providing concealing benefits and erasing imperfections, pores, dullness, and an uneven skin tone. It contains a high concentration of oil absorbing pigments that step up and do battle with the heat, humidity, and drier air so that your foundation wears long and strong.

Oil skin? Looks like Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation has your number.

This one is available now at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I really appreciate YSL putting OCTINOXATE front and center. Saved me from salivation and research. Glance, and over. The foundations without chemical sunscreens are few and far between.

What powder do you think will work well with this? I have combination skin and I want them to work together. This sounds like a great foundation and I need something new.
