The One Perfume Oil You’ll Thank Me For Telling You To Buy

So, I did a little hardcore damage during the Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie Sale. The type of damage you don’t really regret because the sale was so brilliant!

I made some great blind-buy purchases one of which turned out horribly wrong. Dance with Desire is a Egyptian musk with notes of vanilla and cocoa butter. The way they described it had me thinking it would be a powdery vanilla with elements of spice. But it smells awful strong in the roller. I’m not even sure I can apply to my skin and wait to see if the vanilla peeps out. I just hated it on first sniff. This is always a bad way to experience fragrance though as something can smell horribly wrong in the bottle and apply beautifully on the skin. I’m just not relishing the idea of removing it if it isn’t something I like. Because it smells like a scrubber to me.

It’s funny because I almost always have success when I blind buy a fragrance from Etsy or indie fragrance houses. But this one went really, really wrong.

Anyway, enough about the wrong stuff and onto the really right stuff.

Here’s one perfume oil you’ll thank me for telling you to buy.

Don’t hesitate, get it.

I picked up caramel musk which I visualized as smelling like Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar. You know, that burnt caramel sugary scent! The scent of sugar as it simmers down into gooey caramel in a sauce pan.

That’s what I expected from Caramel Musk.

What I got was something insanely and brilliantly different.

This is a gorgeous, stunning clean skin musk. It’s incredibly difficult to describe, you have to experience it for yourself! Apparently it contains caramel, vanilla, and amber but I smell none of those notes. It’s not really a warm comforting scent as you would expect from caramel and vanilla. It’s a very clean skin smell but also, very, very sexy and sensual.

I wish I could describe it better.

I HIGHLY recommend trying it out for yourself.

Going to order a trial size. Perfect timing- Clean has a few new mixes of some of their traditional fragrances. The only Clean scent I like is Skin and they have a new scent Skin and Vanilla Eau Fraiche. It’s too pricey to purchase at the moment so this trial size will be a nice alternative.

    This is the Skin description:
    Details-
The Clean Skin & Vanilla Eau Fraiche introduces a new heart to live synonymously with the Clean Skin Eau de Parfum. While the fragrance maintains the fresh top note focusing on fruits and florals, the middle adds a sensual sophistication with chocolate and warming coconut. The fragrance focuses on mid of Madagascar vanilla creating a fresh, beachy take on a creamy vanilla fragrance.

    Fragrance Notes:
Top – Hedione, mandarin, red apple
Mid – Chocolate, coconut, Madagascar vanilla
Dry – Ambrox, creamy musk, Haitian vetyver
