Play by Sephora The All-Star Edition Available Now

Play by Sephora The All-Star Edition is yet another high-end edition of Sephora’s standard play box that’s available today at Sephora.com for Rouge Members. It’ll be available for VIB members starting August 30th and and everyone else on August 31st. If you recall the Play by Sephora Iconic Edition Box was a Rouge Exclusive and it irritated a lot of people that everyone couldn’t get their hands on it. Sephora obviously heard the complaints and have redeemed themselves by offering the All-Star Edition Play Box to everyone now.

I wasn’t terribly impressed with the Iconic Box which set me back $20 and contained a good deal of products that I already own or have tried. I’m debating purchasing this new version at the moment.

It contains six limited-edition tarot cards that feature product information as well as “a little cosmic guidance” and six deluxe-sized makeup, skincare, and fragrance products from Tom Ford, Dior, Hourglass, SK-II, Amorepacific, and Viktor & Rolf all housed in a collectible bag.

This isn’t a monthly box but a one time purchase that’s $20. Each person that purchases the box also gets 50 bonus Beauty Insider points.

If you’re a Rouge Member head on over and grab up the Play by Sephora The All-Star Edition now at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The bag is really cute, but I stopped spending my cash on sub boxes that only contain samples. I like the idea, but I can just get free samples with my purchase. So…doesn’t make sense to spend $20 on this.

Oh I gave in!! LOL! I haven’t done a subscription box in awhile and since this is only a 1 time purchase I figured I would give it a shot. I had wanted to order the Smashbox primer stick so I just threw this in the order too. Fingers crossed it has some fun goodies. I never enjoyed birchbox or ipsy. This one had listed brands I use.

I got it too to review here! I’m hoping for something exciting!

Me too. Figure it’s a cheap Ford, LOL. I cancelled my Play awhile ago too but hearing the siren song again. We’ll see. I noticed it’s sold out now too.

    Hi muse ,
I’m from India and I’ve only tried a lipstick from Dior and Flowerbomb from Viktor&Rolf . So do you think it might be worth for someone like me to get this ? ( I can ask a friend to purchase for me)

This is a total no for me. Did not like the last box. Wish they spent less on the book and put bigger/better beauty items instead. And I have already cancelled my Sephora box subscription too. I switched to Birchbox (me + hubby) and Blessbox (pretty cool, not totally all beauty items, but ALOT of FULL SIZE items…plus alot of different items that you are not seeing over and over in all the other boxes). And I am on the new Macy’s box which even though you spend $15, they give $5 of that back to spend on any beauty item you want, so that is kind of awesome. 😀

omg do I sound like an infomercial or what!?! LOL

    • Isabella Muse

ITA! They spend a lot on the packaging and less on the contents! I’ll have to check out that blessbox thingy! I’m not much of a beauty box person but always curious about ones that have full size items 😀 Haha! No, you sound passionate 😀

The first box was an easy pass for me, but the brands in this one intrigued me enough to bite the bullet. Think it’s arriving tomorrow, so we’ll see if it was worth it!
