Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick Review & Swatches
Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick ($21) is a new creamy, comfortable matte lipstick that launched in twenty shades with the Sephora Exclusive Too Faced Peaches & Cream Collection.
I expected the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette to be the item that would sell out the fastest from this collection but turns out the Peach Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick was the hottest selling item from this release. When the collection originally released many shades were showing out of stock which led me to believe that perhaps they pulled the line due to the Tatcha lawsuit but slowly the shades started popping up one by one.
Let’s take a look at my swatches and review.
I mentioned it in a few of my other reviews from the Too Faced Peaches & Cream Collection but it deserves to be mentioned again, this collection truly has some fantastic packaging. These lipsticks are beautifully presented. The lipstick comes in a heavier, weighty in a cream barrel with a gold peach clasp and a topper that displays the shade. The lipstick itself is imprinted with tiny peaches around the entire bullet. The size is 0.14 oz and they do have a highly peachy scent that can be smelled as soon as you open the tube. They also have a sweet peach flavor.
I have love/hate relationship with this formula due to the fact it falls into my natural lip lines with a less than smooth look and appearance. The formula is positively delightful with a heavier creamy texture that applies with an easy, even glide onto my drier lips. Although heavy in texture it feels quite lightweight and comfortable once applied. The color is pigmented and completely opaque on a single swipe. It doesn’t migrate nor feather nor does it adhere to drier areas on my lips but it did transfer onto my cup when I was drinking. The velvety matte texture is comfortable without being overly drying but not hydrating either. The wear was excellent at around seven hours but sadly, almost instantly upon applying the shade it falls into my natural lip lines and ages my lips making them look dry. I felt like a little old lady who had reapplied her lipstick after lunch. The color just wanted to sink right into every single natural line in my lips. I don’t have fine lines on my lips as of yet but if your lips are aging this isn’t the formula for you.
I don’t regret purchasing Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick but I probably won’t indulge in further shades due to the problems I experience with it. As of now wearing it with clear gloss is my solution but if you’re looking for a perfect matte finish these don’t quite have it.
Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick is available now exclusively at sephora.com.
