Riley Rose A New Makeup Playground from Forever 21

Riley Rose is a new makeup store that will be launching in Glendale, California on September 20th and I’m awful jealous of you West Coast ladies and lads in that area. Riley Rose is Forever 21’s sister store but don’t worry, you won’t walk in to discover a range of Forever 21 house brands in this shop. Nope, no way. Riley Rose is actually all about focusing on harder to find cult brands as well as K-Beauty and indie brands. But don’t worry they’ll be plenty of mainstream brands like Stila and Laura Geller available as well!

Think of Riley Rose as an Ulta slash Urban Outfitters slash Hot Topic type of location that carries some of your favorite brands but also, novelty makeup items and indie brands that are a little more difficult to locate. Riley Rose will be both budget friendly with prices starting at two bucks and also higher-end, with some items going as high as $189 or more.

The store is looking quite like the princess-y pink Etude House set up in Korea with plenty of mirrors and testers available to allow you to sample the wares before purchasing them.

Riley Rose even launched a website which makes me wonder if they’ll be selling their items online as well! Let’s hope so!

You can visit them at rileyrose.com.

Please Riley Rose won’t you come to New York next?

I’ll be waiting patiently!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

A quick look at their available jobs postings shows they’re looking for store employees in:
    Glendale, CA
    Altamonte Springs, FL
    Pembroke Pines, FL
    Tallahassee, FL
    Chicago, IL
    Towson, MD
    Minnetonka, MN
    Bridgewater, NJ
    Columbia, SC
    Frisco, TX
    San Antonio, TX
    Wauwatosa, WI

So it looks like there will be a store close-ish to you soon! Google tells me it would be 1.5 hrs by tube from Manhattan. I’m a SoCal girl, so I’m not sure what that really equates to… I drive everywhere, everyday. Lol.

Omg, Izzy. I live in Tallahasse, Fl. This is totally a surprise and an awesome one at that. I saw the post today and was thinking how am I going to get to Cali for this lol. Wow, I am beyond elated.

          • Jennifer

That is one hell of a road trip. Lol. But, I only have to go a few miles to the mall. I am still in shock. Tally is a small town and to have Target, Sephora, Ulta and now RR, I am in awe. All we need now is an IKEA. I have to drive to Orlando for that store. I simply can’t wait for RR to open. Thanks so much for the updates on this. I needed some good news and you delivered it. :)))). I’m grinning like a fool. Ha

Btw, sorry I called you Izzy. One of friends is named Isabella and I call her Izzy. Sorry, it was out of habit. Hope you didn’t take offense to it.

          • Isabella Muse

not at all, go right ahead 😀 My family calls me Izzy!

Really? We lived walking distance from the Galleria and Americana but rarely went because, “yawn.” Move out of state, and suddenly the place is bursting with cool new stores. I wanna go baaaack…
    Wait.
    Earthquakes.
    Yearly fires.
Nope. Good here in the disaster free AZ desert.

I was just looking through some older blog posts and saw this. I looked on their website. Really happy to see some of these brands that are hard to find. There are some I know, like Coloured Raine, Sugarpill, The Balm, etc, but there are quite a few makeup brands that I never heard of. Does anyone know which brands are quality brands to consider? Any information or opinions about Black Moon, Pinky rose, Beauty Bakery, The Face Shop, Suva, Lottie London, Lemonhead,B by Banila, Glitter Injections, Clio, Peripera, Lavendar Stardust, Honestly Margo, Lipland, etc.

    • Isabella Muse

The Face Shop, B by Banila, Clip, and Peripera are all Korean brands which I’ve featured/reviewed products from before. All of them have a mix of some great stuff. Lottie London is a British brand with affordable options, I’ve reviewed some of their items as well and enjoyed them. Beauty Bakery gets some raves across the beauty world but haven’t personally tried them. The others I haven’t tried nor heard of sadly!

      • Lynn

Thanks, Isabella. And with the sale now, I’ll have to try some new products.

my pleasure Lynn 😀 Enjoy! I hope you find something great to play with!
