If you’ve never seen Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown please stop reading this post and go watch it. It’s what launched Rossy de Palma’s career and made her into a beauty icon. You see Rossy isn’t a conventionally beautiful woman by standards set upon us by the media and society but she still garners the attention of great designers with her strong, bold features. She is proof positive that unique and different is beautiful and empowering.

This is her color story in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.

Just like Rossy, her collaboration with MAC is bold, striking, and rich. Filled with colorful shades there are quite a few items I placed on my wish list.

Available in two shade selections Rossy’s blushes are bold picks. The one that caught my eye is Red Envy which appears to be a bright reddish pink! Yes, please! I imagine just pinched Winter cheeks are a swipe away with this shade! A little gold highlighter on top and you’ll look like you just got kissed during the first snow fall!

Available in three bold shades Rossy’s lipsticks are stunning! The two shades that caught my eye are Self Esteem and Frenesi which are too bold reds!

    Have you gotten the mailer from MAC previewing the Snow Ball holiday collection? Ugh, dying here! So much pretty! I was wondering what your thoughts on it were. I don’t own much MAC and don’t know how much of these collections are repromotes.

        There’s a lip coffret with 12 mini-ish (they look smaller than full size but bigger than mini tubes?) lipsticks for $70. That’s gonna go fast. And the face powders look like glowy glory! Looks like there’s two powders sold as singles and two kits with extra dimension powders with a fan brush.

    Almodovar is great. Had forgotten that was where I had seen Rossy before. Don’t forget the tub submarine in All About My Mother. Cannot wait to see you in those reds. Mmmmm. Nice. And, yeah, Banderas WAS young once, and so were we all! Great collection.

    I want the contouring cream palette with her nose on it. Her nose is the same as my gorgeous friend’s nose and since I moved halfway across the country, I want it to think of her.
