Chanel Take Flight Travel Palette Set Taking Me Way Back

Chanel Take Flight Travel Palette Set is taking me way back today. Like, back to 80’s TV miniseries days! I can see this making an appearance on Judy Hale’s vanity. She one of the three mommy candidates in Lace and her makeup at the end of the series always stood out for me. She was rather ordinary in school but by the end of series she was all sorts of sophisticated and was totally a walking advert for a 1982 Bloomingdales with her chic blazer and her strong, aggressive autumn makeup that included brownish lipstick and harsh peachy cheeks.

I imagine it’s been since the 80’s that long since Chanel actually did a full face palette. It seems so very retro doesn’t it?

This $95 palette is a complete face and eye set that includes 6 eyeshadows, 2 lip colours, three lipglosses, blush, mascara, and Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Color Powder.

It’s a palette that takes me back to the golden days of makeup. When all-in-one compacts were treasured instead of run from in disgust. Because, well, if we’re honest no one loves powders and creams living together. It’s never a good marriage. But twenty or thirty years ago? This was the height of sophisticated makeup!

Relive those golden 80’s days with the Chanel Take Flight Travel Palette Set.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love it and really wish they’d do more of the all in 1 palettes, it does make travel sooooooo much easier. I guess I really have that in mind since I’ve traveled the last 2 weeks on business and something like this would have made carrying make-up a bit nicer

ita although I wish they’d do a cover for the creams so the powders are mixing with them! But yes, I travel a lot too and all in ones are just easier than lugging a ton of different compacts along!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobbi Brown used to do lips in a little tray to cut down on that. The thing about all-in-one palettes is that you never use all products equally. Great concept but rough in actual use. Love the Lace reference. I still watch it every Valentine’s Day!

I almost bought their travel palette the last time I was at the airport checking out the duty free.
