Hi It’s Me Behind On Comments and Ready for the Weekend!

Hi there, hey there!

Sorry, I’m VERY VERY VERY VERY behind on comments. I feel like I haven’t talked to a lot of you in ages. Sorry about that. I’m trying to get through them but I might need to just approve and start over from fresh haha! If you had an important question I didn’t reply to feel free to leave it here.

Also, I’m behind on reviews and swatches…! There’s been a lot of new releases launching so that has kept me busy plus my “real job” has me on my toes at the moment which has me behind on reviews and such.

How are you? Having a good October I hope! I am so eager for the weekend to begin. I’m a little tired because October is always a super busy time in my life (more so than Christmas it feels like). There’s always some event or something happening around here that I’m buzzing off too. Hopefully you stopped by my Instagram last night as I shared a few shots and videos of the The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt‎ Manor. Fun times. If you’re in New York you should totally go see it. It seems like it gets better every year.

What else is going on around here?

Oh, I heard Tarte Toasted is launching on Sunday! W00t! We’ve been waiting long enough right?

What are your weekend plans? Anything fun going down?

Tonight I’m going to see The Brides of Dracula with Peter Cushing. There’s an Indie movie theater that play all sorts of great Hammer films during October. Even though I’ve seen all of them 10000000 times I’m still up for a replay because I have the biggest crush every on Peter Cushing, rest his soul.

Tomorrow night I’m headed to Rocky Horror Picture Show. This year, I decided to go as Eddie. Wish me luck on getting the mullet slash Elvis hair down right. Oh and Evil Within 2 came out today and I am dying to play but probably won’t get a chance to do this weekend. Boo! Hiss! I think my dear Joseph Birdsong is getting ready to stream his play if you wanna check in quickly to see how it is going!

I will see you Monday with a ton of new posts and such.

Feel free to tell me how you’re doing and what your weekend is looking like!

Have a beautiful, safe, and wonderful weekend!

Love you all! Talk soon!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love Peter Cushing! I especially loved the color of his eyes! They were such a beautiful shade of blue. This is the best time of the year to enjoy his movies!

Oh my goodness free pic! When I lived in upstate New York there was a pumpkin farm that had an awesome display of Jack ‘o lanterns & a giant talking pumpkin!
I’ve never seen the Rocky Horror picture show & didn’t know it involved dressing up.
It must be a blast living in NYC & always having something fun to do!
I will be cleaning up the garden for winter & planting some bulbs for spring.

I went to rocky horror last night. I didn’t do full costume but i did channel my inner magenta with full 70s bad makeup, and my naturally curly reddish hair back combed. It was fun, I haven’t been in years!

    • Isabella Muse

How was it? I didn’t either! BOOOOOOOO! I was supposed to go as Eddie but we got super sidetracked because our day was jammed back and we didn’t get home in time for me to change. My friend threw out a leopard unitard, he looked obscene lol but the rest of just went in regular clothes. Oh well! I did use my Stila Glitter Eyeshadow, does that count for cool!? ;-D I go every year, it sort of tradition for us to all get together and go and of course, shout out the participation obscenities! My personal fav being, “HE STILL DOESN’T HAVE A F**KING NECK!” lol ;-D I hope you had fun!!!!!!!

      • Melissa

Yes yes it was a blast. My friend was a virgin so she got a certificate lol

        • Isabella Muse

HA! ;-D They didn’t hand certs to any virgins on mine but did make them come on stage ;D

  • Fiona

Muse, good to hear from you. I just wanted to tell you that you made me addicted to the Hadalabo products! My skin is plump and aglow since I’ve been using these plus some K-Beauty stuff. Hope you are well! Wish you a wonderful fall.

    • Isabella Muse

omg that’s great news Fiona happy to hear it 😀 I am great and you? I hope you’re enjoying this gorgeous Fall weather! Take advantage as much as possible before you know it the snow will be here booooo!

  • Michelle

The Pumpkin Zee? Awesome! I so miss living in NY, I’ve been in FL for 25 yrs.

  • Michelle

I meant to add that I don’t think that event existed when I lived in NY, but I definitely would have seen it!

    • Isabella Muse

I think they have been doing it for 10 years or so now maybe a little longer but not as far back as 25!

Have great fun! That Tappan Zee ala pumpkin photo is adorable. I just hauled my beloved Patticake home from neurosurgery. Heavy bucks from my retirement fund, but she is likely to make a good, if not full, recovery. That is all that matters. She is on strict crate rest for 2 weeks, can’t even hold her. She has PT ex to do at home. This has been 10 days of terror and exhaustion, with only you and Christine M for amusement. Course, they locked down the card again, to make it all the more fun and Comcast is messed up. I’m just going to lie here, spread my work out, so i’m Not gone for over five hours (usually do ten hours in 2 days to have more days off. And the iPad update ain’t great either, capitalizes the next word, after failing to capitalize I. Who cares? My girl is home. Thanks for your special brand of entertainment.

    • Isabella Muse

haha thanks ;-D what happened? 🙁 I’m sorry to hear it. It’s hard when furbabies have issues. Sigh been there, know the feeling well! awww <3 I hope I take your mind off your troubles when you're here 😀

Hi, I’m totally behind on your posts, lol! XD
I LOVE the Brides of Dracula movie; it’s one of my favs! And I honestly think the cast is so good-looking overall (the British actor who plays the vampire; the beautiful French actress; Peter Cushing is adorable, of course; I even love the priest and the mother!).
I hope we can resend you emails as well; I sent one with concert pics to you, like, ages ago (more like 2 or 3 months ago) and I don’t know if you saw them, so be forewarned, I may send them again!
    *gives innocent look*
