MAC Holiday 2017 Available Now!

Just did a mini order of the new MAC Holiday 2017 orders at maccosmetics.com and nordstrom.com and at ulta.com and macys.com. Not everything is in stock as of yet but they do have a portion of the core collection so I grabbed a few items before they sell out. Also, it isn’t on MAC’s site but Nordstrom has the Snow Ball Classics Mini Lipstick Kit.

    I went a little crazy. I bought the silver brush set (basic), the pink mini lipstick set, both colors of the face powders (highlighters), Shimmer & Spice lipstick, and I have the pink lip gloss set and the large lipstick collection shipping tomorrow from Nordstrom. Yikes! Beautiful packaging this year from MAC!

    Got everything I wanted, except Stylishly Merry eyeshadow, at Ulta AND used the 20% off total purchase coupon. SCORE!! Now I have 4.5 hours to sleep before getting up for work….. The things we do for makeup.

    I love the MAC Highlighters they are amazing! Can’t wait to order some, but I do like going to the store and swatching the products as apposed to online shopping.

    Really annoyed. Ulta sold out of everything I wanted the second I sat down to order. I had everything in my cart! I was going to use my 20% off coupon + my points too. I can’t believe all of the dept stores are already sold out too. This is holiday stuff! They usually never sell out like this on holiday stuff! If I was smart I wouldn’t bother buying MAC anymore because I hate the way they do business but that probably won’t happen . . .

      Try some of your Ulta area stores. Ulta online sold out FAST. I just ordered the Gold eyeshadow kit online because my 20% coupon actually worked (I am stunned that it worked). Even though I had to pay shipping, I know I would not have found the kit in any stores. This Snowball Collection is like “gold” this year. It’s selling out very quickly. Ulta is saying that “select” Ulta stores have it in store. Good luck!

        Thanks. The Ulta store I go to does carry MAC but I’m sure they don’t have much. They always claim that “they weren’t sent anything.”� Honestly I’m more of an online shopper and was planning on using the 20% off on a whole load of things with my points, including MAC, so unless they restock online I’m out of luck. The store is usually out of stock on everything I want to get when there’s a coupon.

          Give it a try in store. I just called my local Ulta and I live in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. Ulta store at Mall of Georgia (the largest store near me) is saying they have items in stock. Good luck! I’ve been literally “stalking” this collection online for weeks after missing out on much of MAC’s 2016 Nutcracker Sweet collection. This year, I spent WAY too much, but have some beautiful items coming my way. To buy everything I wanted, I bought from Nordstrom online, Ulta online, Macy’s (in store) and MAC Cosmetics online. Clearly I have a MAC addiction problem! 🙂

          I just visited my Ulta here in Atlanta because I was bummed you didn’t get what you wanted online. They have everything still, and it is 4:30 PM Eastern. I’m getting the face bag with Whisper of Gilt and wanted to let you know they have good availability here. WOG is sold out everywhere else. Hope that helps.

            Thanks. I’m in NY and the Ulta that carries MAC here is pretty bad. It’s the only one on Long Island that carries MAC. I have a whole cart full of stuff to get with my 20% off coupon & points and the Store usually doesn’t have a good stock of items. Plus, I got so screwed with my points at that location by a cashier once I wouldn’t trust them to do it again. If I can’t get it online from Ulta I’m not bothering. I’d get it in-store from a dept store but they are all out. Thanks though, I really appreciate it!

      There’s supposed to be a part 2 of the collection released on Nov. 2, so hopefully they’ll also do a restock of part 1 then. Have you tried the Macy’s, Nordstrom, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, or Saks websites? As of now (8:30 pst) I still see a lot of stuff in stock on these sites.

        I’ve tried them ALL. I missed everything by a HAIR. Really disappointed because I’ve been planning this for the 20% and my points. If they don’t restock online then MAC doesn’t need my $$, not about to go on a wild goose chase to stores, those days are over.

          FYI, if you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, there’s been a stocking mishap with a lot the LA area Macy’s. They’re all supposed to have the collection on the counter today but most locations are still waiting for the boxes to show up (I called several locations trying to find the one shadow I missed, Stylishly Merry). All the associates I talked to were really nice and took my information to put the item on hold once the stock comes in.

    I was able to order the set that has wog from Ulta, was having trouble signing in to my account to check out and then remembered the 20% coupon, so I added a concealer and some brushes from elf to get free shipping. I was in such a hurry fearing that it would sell out that I forgot to choose the right shade for the concealer 🙁 Wonder if I can exchange in store??

    I love the packaging this year, especially of the face powder, but the only things I ended up buying were two eyeshadows. The face powders are definitely way too dark and yellow for my complexion and the Nordstrom peach one was just not my cup of tea (way too much sparkle and I swear I have a million of this peach/pink reflect powders/pigments). I thought I’d love the lipsticks, but frost and me do not get along. LOL! That left just the eyeshadows. I’m glad I saved money, but I kind of want to buy more just for packaging…

            Good haul! Shimmer & Spice looked so bad on me…my husband laughed. LOL! Otherwise, I probably would have grabbed it for the packing itself. Why oh why didn’t I think to grab one of the red shades instead? (Smacks forehead)

            I’m going to stay strong, but I have items in my cart, and I’m going to pick up my presale items later tonight. If there’s anything left, I can’t guarantee myself I won’t pick up something…

    I love everyone’s haul! I got the gold face bag (WOG) , peach face bag (show gold), 2 eye shadows (stylishly merry & it’s snowing) and 1 lipstick (shimmer and spice). I wanted the lipstick elle belle but its sold out most places I looked online. Might go check out the collection in store later. I’m so tempted to buy more!

        haha thanks! I can’t wait to see/read your reviews! I think shimmer & spice will look really nice with a lip liner. I’m going to try and find Elle Belle, I think WE may need it haha. I’m tempted to get the rose gold eyeshadow palette. But, I’m gunna swatch first! Happy Hauling =D

I was hoping with clear gloss it’ll look nice ;-D I HAD elle belle in my cart last night and I was like, “Mmmm do I really need another red lipstick?!” and now everyone is talking about it and I’m like, “damn I should have gotten it!” haha! I was a little concerned the palettes would be poor formula so I stuck with singles. I hope I like them! Fingers crossed. ;-D you too! Have fun swatching/hauling!

            I’m kind of curious how the reds in this collection compare to the ones in the MAC x Selena collection. They shades look so similar & I have both from Selena’s collection. I ended up also getting the rose gold palette. It seems pretty decent in quality and like you can do a full look with it. Now I’m contemplating nude or rose lip gloss set…. I need to step away & drop the credit card! LOL

        I’m shocked. Nordstrom told me last time I tried that they absolutely will not do them anymore. Looks like this just isn’t my day

      I was surprised as well. My Nordstrom told me a while back that they weren’t doing presales anymore, but I guess with changing staff, you have changing policies. What irritates me actually is that I got conflicting information, so when I tried to presale the eyeshadows, they told me they weren’t part of the presale. Then when I came back not even a week after, they told me they were and had sold out. Then I went to a different store that is a little far from where I live, but they allowed me to buy pretty much everything. :/

      My local MAC stores were also doing presales, so it’s sad that there’s no consistency.

        I agree with you. The pre-sale and “reserve” policies are insane. For example, I had NO problem pre-ordering at Nordstrom but I had to call the store in a very high-end part of town. The woman also pressured me and tried to up-sell me on a lot of other merchandise. I only ended up getting the pink lip gloss set and the large lipstick collection from her. She really wanted to ring a $200 or $300 sale from me, but the pressure turned me off. I bought most of my collection at MAC online last night at midnight. Also bought a couple of things at Ulta.com this morning and will be picking up Wings of Gilt (gold snowball bag) tomorrow if the guy actually saved it for me at Ulta.

          Yes I *hate* the sales pressure!! At the Nordstrom by me they jump on you if you merely glance at the counter, so I usually stay away. I even had a Clinique person at Macy’s harass me by phone after I bought something about pre-ordering for bonuses and then if I ordered one thing she’d say “that’s it?”� All it does is alienate the customer.

            sorry to butt in but likewise. Very aggressive at counter. My MAC moved to California, he was awesome, but the new people there scare me. They are just so aggressive. Forget about Lush and Bath and Body Works, I tend to walk right pass them because the sales associates are scary!

        Right. And how would I even know that MAC was doing their own presale at the stores? I’m a Select member (the highest level) and I never get email from them even though I’m signed up. I just get texts about new collections after they are sold out. If I relied on those I’d never get anything. The last time I asked the MAC store by me to hold something for me they said ok & then went and sold it to someone else, so I don’t have much faith in them. All I got from them this time was a book by snail mail about the Snow Ball collection and even that is a rarity.

          If it makes you fell better, Cindy, I got a call from the Nordstrom store I presaled with, and they told me their stock ran out and they couldn’t pull from other stores because they were also out. I was shocked! I asked what the point of a presale was if they couldn’t guarantee the items. She told me it’s a first come first serve basis, so by the time they got to my name, some things had already run out. I was ready to drive to the store to pick up my items, but she told me not to. O.o

          I used to work at a cosmetics counter, and that certainly wasn’t the way we did presales. What’s worse, I looked at my billing statement today, and they charged me twice but will only be sending me one item, so I have to dispute the charges. :/ If I had known about this, I would have bought everything online at launch time, but silly me, I thought I was taken care of by presaling with the stores. Sigh, the inconsistencies of MAC.

            What a hassle! Sorry you had to go through that. They are ridiculous taking preorders when they can’t guarantee availability of the items.

    I was SO SHOCKED when I saw it pop up on ulta last night! If I wasn’t already stalking the internet for swatches I don’t think I would have seen the news pop up at like 2am that it was live in Ulta. I was so lucky that I hadn’t used my 20% coupon yet. Sadly, even though I jumped on it so fast, the eyeshadows I wanted were all sold out but I did get one lipstick! Just one though :/ I hope there will be a restock!!!

    I finally made it to Ulta to get my Wings of Gilt Gold Face Bag. At first, they couldn’t find the darned thing. When I called yesterday, they had plenty. Guess what? All were sold out other than what they put away for me, which they couldn’t find. After I asked for the man who put it aside for me, they called him as he had stepped out. Finally, he told them where he stashed the bag. With my 20% coupon, and my points, I paid about $38. I guess it was worth all the insanity! Geeze! Ulta is so disorganized. When the MAC rep looked at me like I was nuts when I asked for the WOG bag.
