Sephora Website Problems Here’s a Solution

I’ve been hearing a lot of complaints, issues, and problems that everyone has been having with the Sephora website lately. A lot of this started during the Holiday 2017 Rouge Event as many of the items they listed on the site weren’t accessible or giving timeout messages, bad gateways, or general 404 errors. The problems have gotten worst since that time though and many people have taken to the Sephora forums to complain but no word yet what exactly is going on.

If you’re having Sephora website problems here’s a possible solution that might help.

First off, clear your cache. That could potentially solve all your woe. However, if that doesn’t work you might want to clear cookies from Sephora’s site only. Within Firefox head to the menu bar, click options, scroll down to the privacy tab, and they’ll be a blue clickable link that says remove individual cookies. Don’t be shy, click it!

A tab will pop up and you can search for Sephora within it. After all the cookies come up for Sephora simply select and delete them all. Close out of your browser, re-open it, and head to Sephora and see if your problems are magically whisked away.

Hopefully this helps!

And HOPEFULLY Sephora gets on fixing these issues.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Glad I’m not the only one. I cleared cookies, but I continue to have issues. The site is so bad that I don’t want to deal with the hassle of placing an order.

sorry :-/ It’s the worst! I had a few issues during the Rouge Event, after that all was fine, a few days ago suddenly everything stopped working! Search, clicking items, etc all errors!

My loves list died about a month ago. It’s missing all my loves and I can’t add anything to it. I’ve tried your suggestions to no avail and sadly it’s a problem across all platforms, different computers and even the app on my phone. Customer Service is no help. I never realized how much my loves list added to the joy of the Sephora shopping experience. I’ve basically just been shopping at Ulta since this happened. So bummed.

Only problem I had initially after they changed their site was that reviews were unable to be seen on I Pads; then it was being unable to WRITE a review using an IPad. From what I was told by their C/S, websites are worked on using one platform (Firefox?) and on other platforms such as IPad’s default Safari browser, they get a look over, but the techies rely on the citizen users to bring to their attention problems with alternate platforms which are fixed on a case by case basis.

I have had this happen every time VIB/Rouge have good promos with purchase. Just yesterday there was a Flower bomb set with purchase and I tried for 45 minutes and refreshed etc, still no luck. Finally I called to place my order, gave him the promo code and he said it was no longer available. Happened last week with and Ole Henrickson 3 piece promo for VIB too.

I was one of the people who complained about Sephora site issues, and clearing the cache didn’t help either. So when I got one of those emails today about a promo I was interested in, I held my breath a bit before clicking, but it all worked normally. I even tempted fate by doing searches with filters, using the brand list, etc. but all was normal. So maybe they’re getting their act together on their side 😀

Thank god! I’m glad to hear things are working a little normal for you Lesley!

I work in IT and my wife was having the same problem. She would be logged in & the Sephora site would log her out. When she entered her creds, it gave a token error and said there was a creds mismatch. If this sounds familiar, do this: open your search box (next to start button) and type “internet options” (you’re looking for the internet options app in the control panel) & click on “open” when it come up. This will open a dialog box. Click on the “connections” tab and click on “clear SSL state” and restart your browser.
