Ulta Enters the Niche Fragrance World with Derek Lam and Elizabeth and James
Ulta continues to expend their horizons and this time they are entering the world of niche fragrance with the introduction of Derek Lam and Elizabeth and James to their perfume library. I’m quite amazed at the growth that Ulta has shown over the past year and a half. They have begun to stock so many higher-end brands such as NARS plus popular mid-range ones like MAC Cosmetics. And by the very way the introduction of MAC is the first time we’ve seen the brand in such a normal retail environment typically they are reserved to larger department brands like Macy’s and Nordstrom.
But Ulta doesn’t discriminate though they have also taken an interest in popular budget friendly brands like Wet n Wild. As well as International makeup brands such as Skin Food, Sleek Makeup, and Makeup Revolution.
Needless to say I love they are entering the world of niche fragrance. They have carried some fragrance brands in the past but this is an area I think can be improved upon and I don’t doubt for a single second they are already taking that ask into hand.
I look forward to seeing who else they add to their fragrance shelves in the future.
