About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I saw that email about the Ulta deals, and I zeroed in on the LQ glosses. I may have to grab one (or two). (Why does Poppy King tempt me so?)

Do get those! They are lovely ;-D I love that LQ is so often on sale at Ulta 😀

Love Poppy as well. Old enough to have had her 7 Deadly Sins original range (matte l/s) from Barney’s, vintage ~1990. I will not throw them away. (Might not use, but will not throw away.) Never tried her glosses, but assume they’re pretty good quality. She DOES understand formulas. I’ve had good luck with the Julep eyeshadow sticks, and think they rival LM caviar, a tad drier. Also think Julep has something in common with Butter London. Most people think only about nail polish, but both make really great makeup. Plus, Julep has a slim KB skincare line.

I wish I had a couple of those. I remember hearing about her when I was in college in the 1990s and wanted to try them. I think Poppy really makes lipstick for people who love lipstick, those ones who can’t not wear it.

Finally the Tarte palette will be mine. I’m really only interested in one shade lol. But that’s a great price.
