Hopefully the Rest of the Found Cosmetics Collection Isn’t as Bad as This Concealer!

Found Full Coverage Concealer ($8.88) is one of several new Found Cosmetics products that launched at Walmart earlier this Fall. If you don’t know already, Found Cosmetics is Walmart’s new “natural beauty” makeup and skincare collection that contains over 100 different products for skin, face, eyes, lips, and cheeks that contain tried-and-true ingredients such as plant actives from around the world.

With a tempting price tag from $2 bucks to $15 this line seems quite affordable and pretty nice when presented in a well lit display at your local evil empire. During a recent trip to Walmart I took a quick look at the display and was deeply impressed with the offerings but I was in a rush so I settled on purchasing the Found Cosmetics Full Coverage Concealer. Because, hey, concealer is always a good place to start as far as I’m concerned.

But let’s just hope that rest of the Found Cosmetics Collection isn’t as bad as this concealer.

Found Full Coverage Concealer is a swivel up stick concealer that at a glance sort of reminded me of Hourglass Hidden Corrector Concealer. Maybe that’s one of the reasons I picked it up! Either that or we can settle in with the fact I’m obsessed with concealer.

At under $10 it seemed like an affordable drugstore concealer plus it apparently contains “good for you ingredients” such as Juniper Berry and Bilberry Extract.

Almost immediately upon removing the cap I noticed that they concealer had a dried look about it. It looked chalk on the slanted tip. I shrugged it off and decided to give it a whirl regardless. Big mistake! I should have kept my receipt and returned it. It is dry as hell. It dragged horribly on my skin and proved very, very difficult to blend out. If you have oily skin YOU MIGHT appreciate this formula but even with such a skin type I have my doubts anyone will enjoy using this.

This formula and texture brought me way back to the dark drugstore ages when the concealer selection available was always dry as hell and difficult to blend. This is a concealer that really sets back all the incredible advancement we’ve seen at the drugstore lately. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch or if this is just the way the formula is. I have hopes it was just the one I purchased because if it really is like this, well wow! Who thought putting this on the shelves was a good idea? It’s horrible.

It’s actually turned me off from trying anything else from the Found Cosmetics Collection.

Thanks but no thanks.

Anyone try anything from Found?

Tried this concealer?

Do share!

Found Cosmetics is exclusively available at Walmart and Walmart.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Wow – just looking at the sides of the product swiveled up out of the tube, it looks like there’s wax bloom on the sides of it, like it got too hot or is just old… And even the swatch looks dry on your arm! Yoikes… I am avoiding that like the plague. Sorry you’re stuck with it Muse!

I somehow missed Found cosmetics being launched… I didn’t see the line at my local Wally World; wonder if its at any of ’em around here… Will have to look. And maybe pass the whole dang line, if it’s all that craptacular….

oh no worries! I like being the guinea pig ;-D haha! They should be there! it launched in September. Check right by the Flower Beauty display as that’s where they have it 😀

Nah. Thanks for the warning. I will try any concealer that does not have my personal no-no list. With ‘natural’ (yeah, right) products, often preservatives are not used. They have not proved to me that preservative ingredients are going to give me cancer. This could have benefitted from phenoxyethanol or parabens. (Heresy!) even if it has a fair formula, it has no shelf life. It died before Muse bought it! Read from the Holy Snails shop on preservatives, anybody who wants to know a non scare perspective. You must have tried their stuff, Isabella. The famous shark sauce, etc.

@kjh – OH, YOU ARE MY COSMETIC SOUL MATE!! Thank you, thank you, finally someone else is talking sense about all the fear mongering with personal care products and cosmetics. I also do not believe that the minimal amounts of certain chemicals used in these products are going to cause cancer. Paula Begoun does a great job with her team on decoding studies and stats, as do the Beauty Brains. There will be some controversy. The studies are done in large quantities and what is tested is not how products would be used or how people would come into contact with them. 🙂 There is nothing wrong with being safe but everyone needs to also be sensible and aware that “natural” does not mean “harmless.” Peanuts are natural and some people are allergic. Poison ivy is natural but you wouldn’t rub it on your face. 😀 I will never buy something that had no shelf life before it started.

I don’t comment nearly enough on my favorite makeup blog here! What’s your HG drugstore concealer right now? My eyes are dry and I’m digging Maybelline Instant Age Rewind.

I actually LOVE this brand I haven’t tried the concealer but I looooove the toner I tried, the baked blush is fantastic and the arnica moisturizer is the first moisturizer I’ve tried that I would declare HG status. I wanted to try the concealer but the stick form had me worried

obviously I have to retry! The concealer scared the hell out of me to be honest 😀

I am in love with the charcoal face cleaner. That is the only thing really helped my skin in a short amount of time. I am sorry about the concealer.

I’m happy to hear it 🙂 Aw no worries sometimes products are hit and miss!
