Kat Von D Metal Crush Highlighter Palette for Holiday 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Kat Von D Metal Crush Extreme Highlighter Palette ($36) arrives for a very limited time on November 21st and 22nd for Rouge and VIB Members at Sephora.com. Everyone can get their hands on it starting November 23rd.

They are dubbing this a “super-limited edition” release so, I guess don’t sit around and wait on it. Buy it as soon as it launches to avoid FOMO. Insert me mentally rolling my eyes here.

The palette includes three metallic shades with a formula inspired by Kat’s Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Thunderstruck which has a hyper-reflective finish with micro crystals that sparkle and shift.

Shades include:

  • Gammaray (prismatic peach with pink and gold crystals)
  • Helix (ethereal opal with gold and silver crystals)
  • Roseshock (pearlescent pink with lavender and pink crystals)

Do you think you’ll be hauling it?

Kat Von D Metal Crush Highlighter Palette will be available at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. uggg I hate to be the party pooper but I’m done with seeing brands come out with Highlight palettes. I have 1 from Anastasia Beverly Hills that will last me my life. Truly over this trend…. It seems many brands have lost originality.

If Becca comes out with one more highlight palette I will disown them ….. 🙂

you aren’t! I didn’t want to mention it because I say it constantly, but yes, way too many highlighter palettes. I’m sorry to say becca has one coming out shortly LOL!

Oh my…. Becca is going to challenge my patients. I love Becca, I wish they could see they have such potential beyond highlight palettes…. temporarily disowning them….:)

In the case of Becca, the brand was essentially built upon highlighters, so it’s almost expected.

I agree. There are too many highlight palettes including Anastasia BH. After a while, shades are very similar among brands. It is overload.

This will more than likely be a pass for me… As much as I *love* highlighters, I just can’t be bothered with “extremely limited quantities”… I figure if a brand wants my money, I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to give it to them. Besides, I only like 2 shades, and am kind of over all the cheap cardboard packaging. That said, if I manage to snag it, provided I don’t spend too much during the VIB sale, I may pick it up, but I won’t be sad if I miss it. At this point, I’d rather have the ABH Aurora, which I can get without any real effort.

I’m interested, depending on the price. It looks like a nice palette, but if I miss it, I’m okay. I just bought the MAC Snow Ball highlighters!

I only like the pinky lavender shade. I rarely wear highlighters and tend to buy the special ones with beautiful packaging and embossing (typically the higher-end ones). Plus, I only look good in certain colours, and most of the shades released nowadays tend to be the peachy/yellowy ones that are definitely too dark on my skintone (two of the shades in the Kat von D!). I just bought Hourglass’ Metallic Strobe palette, and I think that is the only highlighter palette I will ever buy. That one is special (well, two of the shades anyway–can’t really wear the darker colour) because it is literally just a sheen on the skin–no sparkles, no glitter, just a beautiful sheen!

I’m not blown away by this one 🙁 Or the Becca 3 pan one that just came out. I didn’t even bother with the Becca 6 pan highlighter palette that came out last month. I’m underwhelmed with the offerings and overwhelmed with what to use in my collection lol
