Stila Eye For Elegance Liquid Eyeshadow Set ($45) is a gorgeous, limited edition Holiday Set to introduce you to Stila’s brand new Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows as well as reacquaint you with their amazing, incredible, terrific Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows.

As you may know, recently Stila released a whole range of Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows but prior to that happening they introduced the Eye For Elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Set. You might remember when I originally wrote about this set I had said that they would probably release a line of Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows for Spring 2018. I wasn’t too far off as they did in fact release them but a little earlier than Spring!

I fell in love with the Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow formula when they originally introduced them but those aren’t really a formula for shimmer hates. They are packed with gorgeous glitter and sparkle! Now, if you weren’t into all that glitter you might just end up loving the Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows which contain a hell of a lot less shimmer. These are a more traditional cream eyeshadow that’s packed with intense pigment and the best way to try them is in this Stila Eye For Elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Set.

Stila Eye For Elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Set comes with three shades of the new Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows in Kitten, Grace, and Twig as well as the Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows in Peachy Sheen, and Smoldering Satin (my favorite shade). These are 0.07 oz each and have an attached sponge applicator for application.

I’ve discussed the Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow formula in the past I’ll recap some of my review hear. This formula is a mix of chunky pearl and glitter particles with a light texture that applies very easily on my lids without creating a mess. The blending process is very smooth and I have no fall out during the application nor during the wear with these shadows. It isn’t a formula that’s tacky or sticky and you have plenty of time to blend and play before it dries down. It’s a lot of glitter here but I get so many compliments when I wear these. They are just outstandingly pretty and light up my entire eye. With the Holidays arriving shortly they’ll be ideal for Holiday parties and evenings out! I have no issues with the formula migrating or creasing either. Once it sets it stays around without moving or creasing plus it removes easily at the end of the night.

If you’re feeling extra frisky you can use these as an overcoats of sorts on top of the new Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows which I did with some of my looks below but they work just as well all by themselves. The main difference between the formulas is most definitely the amount of glitter they contain. You get much more of a refined shimmer with the newer formula where as the older is pure sparkly glittery joy.

Speaking of the new formula….!

Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is delightful! Just as wonderful as the original with more pigmentation and a creamier texture. These are a more traditional cream eyeshadow formula with a thick formula that blends easily onto lids and packs on super color. They are quite saturated and intense with a refined, easy to wear shimmer that can be boasted up if you want to add a little of the Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow on top. I had no issues with application or blending, it was a piece of cake and the finish was smooth and even on my eyes. They also wore extremely well on my drier eyes without primer for a solid 10 hours without creasing. All in all, an excellent cream eyeshadow formula that performed beautifully and had excellent color pay off.

Needless to say, the Stila Eye For Elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Set is absolute joy. Not only is it Muse Approved but also, one of my top favorite Holiday gift sets this year. It has an excellent range of colors for sparkly or subtly shimmery eye looks that will get you through the Holiday season looking fab.

I can’t recommend this set enough.

Just lovely on you. At least these don’t make me feel as old as the Huda electric palette! They’re quite refined and could do nighttime dress activities on anyone. Really nice set, that I suspect was being overlooked, given the vast holiday offerings. Good review.

oh lol that one I didn’t buy! Can’t pull it off ;-D Thanks glad you enjoyed it!!!

Darn now I want this it was between this and the Touch of Sol set and I bought the Touch of Sol set and I’m disappointed. There is barely any product in them and its difficult to even use because I can’t get the product out. I mean when I can get some out they’re beautiful but I spend 5 minutes trying to dig in each tube with a q-tip. These are so pretty. Have you tried the Colour pop version? Super sparkly. I have a major weak spot for cream eye shadows and sparkle.

    • Isabella Muse

oh no! I haven’t opened mine yet that’s horrible news sorry 🙁 that sucks! I might have to return and not bother trying if they are that bad! I haven’t! I hear good things though!

      • lizzie

Well they’re really pretty but like I said to get to the product is ridiculously impossible I can see only getting a few wears out of them so I just think its better to swatch in Sephora and buy the colors in full size that you like. If you read the reviews on that set a lot of people felt the same. These Stila ones look really pretty on you especially that burgundy shade! They just seem like a better buy. I’m so glad you reviewed them.

I bought this set as soon as it came out because I love the Glitter & Glow shadows that I have. I was kind of disappointed in the Shimmer & Glow shadows because I didn’t feel like they lasted as well. I guess I will have to pair the shimmer ones with the glitter ones like you did. For reference, I have oily lids and I find the Glitter ones last all day with primer.

    • Isabella Muse

awww no sorry to hear it! 🙁 I didn’t have issues! Lasted all day for me no primer but my lids are dry as hell! You can def wear them together! Wear the Shimmer & Glow as a base and the glitter and glow on top ;D

I bought a few of these months ago and returned them because the glitter was way way too much and was falling out all over my face and into my eyes. A question for you is..is this set a combination of the new and old formulas and did they make a set of just the new formulas for the holidays? I heard they had much less glitter
Thank you so much….you are my official consultant and I always buy things or don’t based on your reviews

    • Isabella Muse

Hi Susan! I actually went over all of that in the post. I explained there were three of the new formula and three of the old formula and also explained the differences between the formula. Hope this helps!?????

  • Bethanne

So pretty, Muse! I’m trying to let my credit card cool off a bit, because Black Friday deals are around the corner!

  • Carolina

I bought this set and the Written In The Stars set because I didn’t have any Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadows and I was super curious about the Shimmer & Glow ones too. I’m super happy I got both sets I love both formulas and I will use them a ton! x

  • Emily

I’ve been waffling on whether or not to buy this set. I have more glitter in my collection than I need, and while I love it all, I just don’t live a life where glittery lids are appropriate most days. Well, after seeing your review and pictures, and considering it’s the last day of the Sephora sale, I made the jump. Thank you for this fun and timely review!

  • Britni

I bought these last on accident when I was trying to buy the Stila 3-pack set. I’m so glad I got this bigger one. I can’t wait to use it for the holidays!

  • JakubWasTaken

These look fantastic on you! I really am not a FAN of liquid eyeshadows (especially shimmery ones) but these are great quality. I am lucky enough to do a giveaway of those on my YT vlog, so I’m really happy about that :3 I’m happy to see they work on so many people!

  • Shay

I’ve been seeing so much on the Giorgio Armani and heard this was another option that might wear well on “mature” lol eyes and easier on the pocket book. This was a great review and they look so beautiful on you so I’ll have to try them. Great swatches! Thanks so much 😉
