Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2018

Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow Palette ($45) available today and I’m still a little torn about what I think of this palette. This joins the Peaches and Cream Collection that’s available exclusively at Sephora and on the brand’s website. Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette is actually already part of the permanent collection but White Peach is a selection of shades that are a good deal less dramatic compared to past peach palettes that Too Faced has launched including Sweet Peach. The colors are a lot lighter with many cooler shades blended in which means White Peach might best suit fairer, cooler skin tones.

The really nice palette about this release is the fact the mixed finishes here so, you’re getting mattes but also, some really nice shimmers. I always really enjoy mixing mattes and shimmers and that’s what makes this palette appealing. However, I have to admit I find some of the shades a little unappealing because I’m not really all that creative and I like shades to be all matchy match and this palette does throw a few curve balls our way. The first two rows of shades are very nice lighter peaches but head towards the bottom and you’ll find some plums, softer tans, and creams that just look and feel out of place. I can’t really think of how plum would work well with peach. But that’s on me, I just lack the creativity to contrast shades well.

I had a fairly good run with the Just Peachy Palette so, I have hopes White Peach will be as good if not better considering Too Faced’s record lately with rather dismal eyeshadow releases. But I’m not holding my breath in all honesty. Too Faced tends to set us up for disappointment time and time again.

We shall see.

Do you think you’ll indulge in the Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow palette?

It’s available at toofaced.com and sephora.com January 24th.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I kinda like this palette and I fall into a fair tone with everything so I’m considering this.

I like it too but I see the bottom shadow line and I’m all out of wack with how I can use those shades with the peach!

Does Too Faced set up their smaller palettes so each row or column create a specific look?

        • Isabella Muse

I don’t have the palette or get the look guide but I suspect yes!

  • Ogami Itto

The pallet looks ok. I am wondering if it will be something worth purchasing. In your opinion, do you think these colors and consistency will work on darker complexions?

    • Isabella Muse

probably not, they might be a bit sheer or even chalky on a darker tone. If you don’t have it, the Just Peachy Palette would be a better pick!

  • Denise

I love the all matte version, but this one feels so random! Also, my New Year’s Beauty Resolution is “thou shalt not pay retail for eyeshadow palettes! “

  • Christina

I actually like the way this palette works, and I, too, am fair and prefer less warm toned shadows. In case you’re wondering, plum and peach, as well as violet/plum and peach pair really well together. I would pop the purples on the lid, fade it up, and put the peach in the crease, or I would put the peach on the lid and apply the purples on the outter half or into the crease. It’s a very beautiful look! Give it a try with some of your existing shades. 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

I actually tried doing plum in the crease and also along the outer corner but it never really works for me. I end up looking bruised 🙁 sad panda!

My immediate thoughts: can we please stop with the peach? As much as I love the original Peach palette they put out, this is getting out of control. Also, they want $45 for this when the original one was $49 and is much bigger. This sort of reminds of their horrible White Chocolate mini palettes they put out two seasons ago. I think everyone has jumped on the peach bandwagon and now it seems every lower end company is doing a peach version. So for 2018, we need to get away from peaches and get on to something new!
Another thought for TF is why don’t they switch gears and pick a different fruit and do a palette each season? A raspberry palette would be pretty or strawberry even. There are a lot of fruits they could do instead of churning out peach, peach peach everything.

    • Isabella Muse

I’ve come to the conclusion they recycle the packaging a lot on items and rather than do entirely new packaging for say like an apple collection they just stick with peach for a while!

  • Christina D.

Yeah, I’ll be taking yet another leap of faith and ordering this one. I love that it’s cooler toned.

    • Isabella Muse

Me too! I like the first two rows a lot but that last row I’m stuck on!

  • Robin

Kinda like it. I’m fair and I love that it’s a cooler shade collection! I would use the darkest shades as eyeliners.

  • Susan

Probably too orange-y for me, but I’ll wait for reviews and swatches.

Muse, I have brown eyes too, and a plum eye look (lid) with a peachy-pink just above the crease is one of my favorite looks!

  • Laurie

If this is the best cool palette they can come up with, I’m underwhelmed. The shades may pull cool, but for me they are unsatisfying. I don’t like peach on my eyes whether it pulls cool or warm, and I suspect I’m not the only cool eyeshadow lover in the bunch who feels this way. Perhaps they should simply launch a berry line to compete with the peach. It could have everything from white raspberry to boysenberry and everything in between. Anything, really, if it will mean an end to peach, orange, brown and rust palettes, now with unflattering shades of mustard and unwearable yellows. I love yellow and peach and orange, but in gemstones, not eyeshadow. Give me something in addition to taupe, which translates to: No cool iterations of warm colors. Sorry. Rant over.

  • Kish

I have a feeling almost all of those colors in the top corner (6 total) would look very similar on. And now that I’ve fallen in love with ColourPop shadows, I cringe at $49 for a palette. I have two or three similar shades in Super Shock Shadows, which will keep me happy. I’m almost embarrassed at the amount of palettes I have sitting around in which I’ve only used two or three shades. $5 or less per shadow and I can afford to indulge in trends.

  • Janine

I see the last two shades as something you could possibly use as a liner. The last one would be if you wanted it to be very dramatic.
I am really fair, so this would probably work for me. I felt that the other one, while so pretty, just wouldn’t be good for me.

  • Maria

I never thought I’d say this about peach anything, including makeup, but I think I’m over peach. Peach anything. Peach colored, peach named, peach scented, peach flavored. It’s enough now.

  • Lesley A.

I really like the look of this one but I’m going to wait for a review.

I like the peach/plum combo very much– should work well with my green eyes.

  • Chanty

I swear I’m just working to keep Too Faced rich! Lol just take all my money. They release way too many things at once and keep me broke. Although this year I passed on both their holiday palettes, they got me with the Clover, White Chocolate and Chocolate Gold palette! Damn you, Jarrod! Lol

I can pretend all I want, but I know when it drops, my credit card will be smokin’ LOL
