A new year, a new coconut skincare product! First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream ($34) is what I consider the brand’s traditional coconut skincare release. Last year, they released their Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer for the new year and now this new cream for Spring 2018.

I’m one of those people that’s like, “OMG COCONUT! I need all the coconut skincare things!” I just love the smell of coconut! It reminds me of a tropical island. So, yeah, please sign me up for a jar of Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream!

This is oil-free formula and that likely has a gel-like texture. Water creams are commonly gels in Korea but quickly “burst” upon contact with skin and become more of a liquid which absorbed super fast. It’s like giving your skin a drink. I’ve featured quite a few of these in the past and you’ve likely heard me rave Skinfood Premium Lettuce & Cucumber Watery Cream quite a bit over the years.

The formula also includes coconut water that’s rich in electrolytes, amino acids, enzymes, antioxidants and phytonutrients. And also in the mix is sodium hyaluronate which plumps skin and helps it to retain moisture. Sadly, it does contain dimethicone as well which may or may not be an issue for your skin. Personally, dimethicone isn’t bothersome to me but I know some people aren’t really a lover of it. I noticed it contains no fragrance so you might get the natural fragrance from the coconut here or perhaps another scent as it contains a few other fruit extracts such as apple and apricot.

Ingredients:
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Glucose, Maltodextrin, Aqua (Water, Eau), Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Cocos Nu-cifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Alteromonas Ferment Filtrate, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sea Salt (Maris Sal, Sal Marin), Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Dip-teryx Odorata Seed Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Dimethicone Cross-polymer, Dipropylene Glycol, Cetyl Diglyceryl Tris(Trimethylsiloxy)silylethyl Dimethicone, Phe-noxyethanol, Laureth-8.

They recommend it for drier, duller skin types or anyone experiencing finer lines and wrinkles. Raises hand! I have drier skin but I’m a little skeptical this will be my cure all for dryness. Especially right now as the cold weather is murdering my skin. But perhaps it’ll make a nice lightweight moisturizer for the warmer weather. Or surprise me with a rich, hydrating formula that does in fact deliver plenty of moisture.

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream is available now at Sephora.com.

The Coconut primer is my go-to, and the ingredients are about 90% similar. I adore it–moisturizing and smoothing, and it smells divine! Also, coconut oil is instant breakout for me, but the juice doesn’t bother me at all, so I can get my
coconut smell fix without the acne. If came in a tube or bottle, I might try it, but grrr on the jar packaging!!

Omg I need this for my face right now so badly. I love that there’s no added fragrance either. Definitely seems like a better option than slathering my face with coconut oil that everyone raves about.

I’m 55, so hardly anything makes my skin break out, but I used the primer from this line and broke out HARD. So I don’t think I’ll be trying this.
