Storybook Cosmetics has confirmed today that they will be sold at Ulta.com! If you aren’t familiar with Storybook Cosmetics you’re for a treat especially if you’re a fan girl or guy.

Identical triplet sisters, Erin, Mandy and Missy Maynard not only love makeup but are crazed fangirls like me who bring their fandoms to life in the form of makeup and beauty accessories. In 2016, the brand went viral and so far they have been a happily ever life of creating Harry Potter wand-shaped makeup brushes and palettes inspired by Willy Wonka. I mean does it get any better than this? Who doesn’t want their fandom created into the perfect makeup collection. That, is in fact, what Storybook Cosmetics does. A love of books, makeup, and geekery is entwined into the making of their full line of makeup and beauty products.

Today they announced on Instagram that they entire line will be available at ulta.com As in right now! It just literally became available on Ulta’s website!

I haven’t personally tried any of their items as of yet but I love the idea of being able to purchase it at Ulta. Speaking of which, Ulta is killing it with all the new lines they are bring in lately. Just last week they started carrying Kopari Beauty and Korean brand Mamonde. Not to mention last year they added MAC, NARS Cosmetics, and quite a few other Estee Lauder brands to their main line.

It’s an exciting time for Ulta as they seem to be growing by leaps and bounds with each day.

I look forward to seeing Storybook Cosmetics in stores soon and as of today you can shop it online at ulta.com.

Are you a Storybook Cosmetics fan?

What do you think of this exciting news?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. WHEN? Ulta is getting Colourpop? I was hoping for that recently. Oh joy, oh rapture!

Around the 25th of February, it appears. It’s most likely going to be like Sephora, a few items LE just for Ulta. Not the entire line. But really, their line is so affordable and shipping is free at $30, so it doesn’t make much difference to me. I guess people who have never tried it (for some reason lol) might buy at Ulta.

It’s gonna be interesting if the intellectual property owners of whatever media they’re fanservicing don’t sue Storybook Cosmetics for copyright infringement / a portion of the profits now that they’re in a national retailer like Ulta

Where Storybook Cosmetics uses actual terms like Mean Girls, Oompa Loompa, etc., they are careful to state it’s an official collaboration between them and the copyright holders. Where they do not have trademark/copyright permission, they are also careful to use generic terms such as witch, wizard, jinx, etc. They’re not stupid.

So exciting! I have always wanted to try their Mean Girls palette. Now if they just made a Supernatural collection.. I would be all over that. Even if it were just brushes!

  • Paige

I’m interested in the Storybook Van Gogh palette. I would much rather buy it and get points (particularly if it’s timed with a 20% off coupon) in a place where I can return if I hate the product. So I am all for this move to this larger platform!

And to follow up on the last response, have you ever really liked a Hot Topic palette? I have bought two and found them to be more miss than hit. Is it just me?

I’d be highly interested in discount/points for sure ;-D that makes them coming to Ulta all the better! I haven’t. I got both my supernatural palettes but I’m a weirdo and didn’t touch them. They are hanging out on a shelf with my chevy impala model and gulp can’t believe I’m saying this my Dean and Sam dolls. No one is listening right? 😀
