Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Look Palette Reminds Me Spring Is Coming

Contrary to what the weather says Spring is here and the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Look Palette reminded me it was on the way this morning. Every year, like clockwork, the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection arrives with some new and interesting makeup to get us in the mood for the warmer weather ahead.

Although, some see Estee Lauder as their grandmother’s makeup since the packaging as exactly evolved in the last hundred years of our makeup lives, I do admit to having some love for the brand since their color cosmetics generally deliver excellent results.

One of my favorite collections is without a doubt the Bronze Goddess Collection since it generally means we’ll get some our hands on the gorgeous Bronze Goddess Fragrance along with a color story. I’m a pretty major fan of the fragrance so, this is the time of year I can replenish my overly used and almost gone bottle.

This year Estee Lauder brings us a new edition of the their traditional Bronze Goddess Eyeshadow Palette in the form of the Bronze Goddess Summer Look Palette ($55) which pairs up six eyeshadows. It’s a pretty typical release for the brand since they keep to the aqua and bronze theme with each and every eyeshadow releases in this collection but this palette contains a highlighter as well as a blush this time around. I happen to hoard away my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette so, I have hopes the blush in this palette is as lovely.

Along with this palette, there’s also a new Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelée ($47) in a brassy bronze gold shade that gives skin a soft sheen of highlighter as well as a new Bronze Goddess Blooming Lip Balm ($28) that reacts with body chemistry to create the a customized orange hue on lips.

As of now these are the only things currently available in the collection but as we grow nearer to the end of the month I’m sure the fragrance(s) will pop up as well.

Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess for Spring/Summer 2018 is available now at nordstrom.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just popped into Macy’s and saw the collection. It’s beautiful, but that highlight was far from subtle, almost blinding. I think I’ll end up picking up all of it, lol. Also, they had the two fragrances on display . They were lovey.

    • Isabella Muse

haha the subtly they promise is likely not there ;-D Are the fragrances new or the same as year’s past?

      • S. Le

They looked like the same bottles (clear glass and the other was that pinky metallic finish), both with that yummy beachy/sunscreen scent. I don’t need them because I have a coconut fragrance (more sophisticated than it sounds, lol) but I really want one. Who am I kidding? I have tons of fragrances, what’s one more?

        • Isabella Muse

ah sounds same as last year as last year they introduced a new deeper version! I still need a bottle of the Fraiche! running low ;-D It’s one of my fav scents!

Some see it as their grandmother’s makeup eh? Well there’s definitely something (great) to be said for a makeup that’s been around longer than my daughter. The quality can always be counted on. Add they don’t drop palette after palette with unicorns on it! 🙂 It’s all good – I’m just tired (at my age lol) of makeup aimed only at the young crowd, like we grandmothers don’t enjoy our femininity anymore. Yay EL!

I’ll second that. Have you seen the Cover Girl commercial with the very glamorous older lady getting ready to go out as she says something like ” who said that women my age should just give up? ” I wish Lauder had gotten someone like that instead of that Jenner brat.

I’m 37 and I’m tired of all the makeup aimed at young people LOL.

the eyeshadow palette is pretty but Estee has been using the same colors for their summer bronze goddess eyeshadow for MANY years. YAWN. We need something new and exciting Estee!

My gramma didn’t wear Estee, but my grandchildren’s gramma does *grin*

I found a roller ball of Bronze Goddess at Marshall’s and I treat it like liquid gold. I should just buy a bottle this spring and spray myself with abandon.

The highlighter does not look like it is intended for light colored people (which is a-ok by me; heaven knows people with darker skin have not been represented at counter forever, so this is a good thing!). It’s gorgeous.

What the heck is happening with EL’s prices?

    • Isabella Muse

I know! EL has always been fairly pricey but lately the prices seem even higher!

  • Bonnie

In China. China requires animal testing by their law. If you still don’t want to purchase fron EL, your choice of cosmetic brands is going to be severely limited considering the size of their portfolio.

I’ve been a Lauder girl/woman for many years. Always enjoy the Bronze Goddess collections. Colours I like and good quality. Not interested in unicorns and the like. Or a new product being launched weekly or so it seems. If you don’t like last week’s maybe you will like next week’s! I also like simple, unbulky packaging that fits in to my handbag.Have worn the scent for a long time. The line is always a win.
