My obsession with red eyeshadow and eyeliner is brought to you by Geum”ja Lee as played by Lee Young”ae in the Korean film Lady Vengeance. Surely, by now you’ve seen this film and coveted the strong red eyeshadow that’s worn by our anti-heroine. If not, allow me to tell you red eyeshadow is everything because of Lady Vengeance. It’s a shade that I find very, very flattering on Asian eyes and it’s a shade I adore using even though it doesn’t always work out well for me.

My favorite form of red comes in the form of a metallic crimson eyeliner that was available for a limited time in the Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner formula. Now I don’t love liquid eyeliner by any means but that shade just thrilled me beyond words.

MAC recently added 38 new products to their permanent collection and one of those products is the delightful Keep It Currant Liquidlast Liner. This deep oxblood red looks incredible. I’m not sure if I can pull it off but my goal is to apply a thin layer, allow to set slightly, and once it does I want to smudge it out across my upper lash line. To get a little wild and crazy I might even pair it up with Kat Von D Lolita Eyeshadow & Blush or Stila In a Firenze Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow.

MAC Keep It Currant Liquidlast Liner is coming home with me that much I know!

MAC Keep It Currant Liquidlast Liner is available now on counters or at nordstrom.com with free shipping.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. When you review this, pls compare to UD alkali and nyx faux black oxblood, or whatever other reds there are. I suck at liquid liner, Bec I hate the inner rim skin color showing, then have to search for a matching waterline pencil. It’s not even the technique, though that’s not great, either….

will do! I typically do black on my waterline with red on the upper lash line!

Please post a pic when you try it! It sounds so awesome, but I probably couldn’t carry it off, but a girl can dream!

Oh gee, will absolutely pass on this one knowing full well already this will be another purchase held paused in my bottom make-up drawer. Even just once for a special effect would be enough for the “special avoidance” — lids would look like the special host material for something infective, sticky and contagious. A new and lovely product will be around the next bend. Let me look….
