Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer Reminds Me of Days of Old

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer reminds me of my very first moisturizer days. Is it coming to you yet? If it hasn’t let me push you in the right direction, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel!

For some reason, this reminded me of exactly that. I think my first “high-end” moisturizer was Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and I pretty much used it all through high school. It made me feel very grown up. Strangely enough it followed me through some of college as well and I even purchased it a few years ago to try it out again and see if it was as wonderful as my younger self thought.

As for Philosophy, well that yellow bottle and that promise of lightweight moisture just made me think of skincare from the past.

Philosophy has expended upon Purity Cleanser over the years with a few different offerings but this is the first moisturizer they offered under the name/formula.

Apparently, it’s light and contains a host of great vitamins, antioxidants, and natural oils that provide up to 24 hours of lasting moisture for any and all skin types. I was/am a Philosophy skincare girl and I have many, many products I use and love from them. So, I have no doubt at some point I’ll be trying this one out for size as I could use a lightweight but moisturizing day cream as Summer approaches.

Although, I have to admit I’m trying hard to downsize my skincare collection because I find myself adding to many things to my current routine. I’ve taken the Korean skincare routine to new levels and heights with my many, many serums, lotions, and potions.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer is a very affordable $25 for a 4.7 oz bottle and is available now at sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Not quite sure where this will fit in your 17 step s/c routine. IKWYM about trying to pare it.

I might just have to try this the next time Ulta has a 20% off coupon. Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion remains one of my go to products I still use ever since I first tried it in high school. When my skin is irritated or in break out mode, it is one of the few products that balances my skin and doesn’t irritate it more.

YES! When this debuted on QVC in that TSV, my first thought was of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer. That stuff served me well from my teens into my early 30s. It seems like this is a great addition to the Purity line. When people are looking for simple skincare for teens, I always recommend Clinique and Neutrogena because they make it easy to pick a basic starter skincare routine. Now it looks like I can add the Philosophy Purity line to my recommendations.

me too! I was using it until I was at least 22? maybe 23? It was great ;-D

I will ABSOLUTELY be trying this! I love everything that is Purity Made Simple and Philosophy in general.

I received this from QVC when they had they super size Philosophy TSV with the cleaner and mask. Like you said, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this moisturizer was the Clinique DDMG. My skin loves this Philosophy moisturizer. I haven’t broken out from it. It smells different than the purity cleanser, like a clean medicinal odd scent. I’m not too sensitive to scents so it doesn’t bother me.

Ha! glad someone else felt that way! It almost immediately had me thinking of Clinique! Interesting that it smells different!

I recently tried this and broke out from it. Not sure, but I am guessing the oil is the culprit.

dying to see your thoughts on this!

I bought the purity cleanser way back and while it was ok, it didnt’ do a great job of makeup removal so I went to cleansng oils which for me are a one stop shop (makeup remover and cleanser).

I think a moisturizing spray can be fun, especially at night when you don’t have enough energy to do a long routine.

    keep us posted muse! 🙂
