MAC Sweet Mamastarr Lipstick is a gorgeous shade that launched in the limited edition Me So Chic Kit ($49.50) that’s part of the PatrickStarrr Floral Realness Collection.

As you may already know beauty influencer, PatrickStarrr, has collaborated with MAC for the second time to create two different full-face sets that will be available on April 16th for the Spring 2018. Sweet Mamastarr Lipstick is included in one of these sets and is a rather stunning nude I think you’ll fall in love with as much as I did.

Sweet Mamastarr Lipstick is not a re-released shade contrary to the fact it was name of a shade that appeared in his last last collection. This shade arrives in a pale pink barrel with a gorgeous floral kaleidoscope that decorates the bottom portion of the barrel and Patrick’s signature located on top. The packaging is fresh and Spring-like and should appeal to those that put importance on pretty packaging (like me!).

I do have to rave this shade as it really is my ideal nude. MAC describes it as a mid-tone neutral pink to me it seems like a dusky nude pink. It’s really stunning and makes for a wearable nude on my lips without making me look like living dead girl.

Amplified finish lipsticks weren’t always my favorite but have been quite forgivable and not nearly as dry or as matte as ones I’ve tried in the past. This formula had a creamy consistency with an easy glide on my drier lips. The shade did seem to hug my natural lip lines which gave them a slightly dry appearance but if you apply a little balm prior you should get a smoother look. The color is opaque on a single application and wears for a good 5 hours with migrating nor feather. It does have the standard MAC vanilla scent and flavor.

I’m sort of sad this isn’t sold as an individual purchase as I’d be inclined to buy a backup! But on the other hand the Me So Chic Kit is quite a nice value since it includes full-sizes of this lipstick, a lipglass, as well as an Eyeshadow Quad and Blush Duo all of which I’ll tell you more about shortly.

Nice job Patrick! Love this shade!
