Makeup Value Sets Worth Hauling During the Sephora Sale

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sephora has been releasing a good deal of value gift sets the last few weeks many of which are an excellent deal but take your 15% Rouge discount and they become an even greater value.

Tarte, Too Faced, Belif, and many others have some great sets that are worth exploring! Here are a few that caught my eye.

I already expressed my love for Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb in prior posts and this new Aqua Playland Set ($38) gets you a full-size version of it. Now Aqua Bomb is a little different compared to the original formula and I consider it my Summer formula since it’s a gel version of the cream formula. It absorbs easily, offers the same great hydration, plus this set gets you a full-size tube along with deluxe sizes of Hungarian Water Essence and Moisturizing Eye Bomb. Totally a great deal after 15% off!

Some of you likely already hauled the Too Faced Sex On The Peach Complexion Set ($45) but if you haven’t it might be worth a look at with your discount off. The set includes full-size Better Than Sex Mascara and Peach Perfect Setting Powder along with mini Primed & Peachy Primer and Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray. It’s a nice way to experience some of the base products offered in the Too Faced Peaches & Cream Collection and quite a lovely little value.

If you’re seeking some new lip picks both the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip ($28) and Sephora Favorites Give Me Some New Lip Kit ($28) are both great picks up! Each set includes a mix of full-size and deluxe-size lipsticks, glosses, and lip balms which allows you to try a variety of different formulas from a variety of different brands.

Sephora Favorites Power of the Petal ($38) is for the skincare junkies out there. This great selection of products includes minis skincare picks from brands like Drunk Elephant, Farmacy, It Cosmetics, and more!

Includes:

  • Caudalie Premier Cru the Eye Cream
  • Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial
  • Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
  • NARS Wanted Power Pack Lip Kit ($22) will get you two! This selection of two (0.09 oz) Powermatte Lip Pigment Duos is available in either a red duo or nude duo.

Tarte Mer-Makeover Vault ($65) is probably one of the nicest value sets from the brand’s Mermaid Collection launch. It’s already an $86 value and includes full-sizes Mermaid Skin Hyaluronic H2O Serum, Mer-Mist Shimmer Spray and Mermaid Waves Salt Spray but after 15% off it becomes and even greater deal!

I purchased a similiar set to the Kopari Coconut Your Selfie Kit ($40) that recently launched about a year ago. I was happy I purchased it because a lot of the items weren’t really to my liking and it got me a nice feel for the Kopari Skincare! The set is back in new packaging at the same great deal so if you’ve been curious about Kopara this is a nice way to experience a few items from their line or get some travel-size versions of your favorites. The set includes 2 oz sizes of the Coconut Cleansing Oil and Coconut Rose Toner plus 1 oz Coconut Face Cream and and full-size Coconut Lip Glossy (one of my favs!).

I’ve always said you can use your blending sponge to apply other items other than foundation! This set Tarte Maracuja Magic Foundation Prep Set ($20) is a perfect way to do just that. A few drops of facial oil applied with your sponge gives you a sheerer prep for foundation or a way to hydrate skin lightly during the AM. Applying facial oil directly to your skin in the AM can be a bit heavy in my experience the sponge really does the trick and offering a lighter application. The set includes purple blender along with 0.5 oz Maracuja Oil! Try applying a few drops to the sponge and lightly dabbing it under your eyes in a bouncing motion prior to concealer and you’ll find that concealer goes on a heck of a lot smoother.

Speaking of Tarte, this Color Splash Cocktail Lip Duo is $10 bucks (15% off with your discount) and includes two of their dreamy, creamy pigmented shades of their Color Splash Lipstick in deluxe-sizes!

If you’re curious about items I have in my cart one would be the Amore Pacific The Travel Essentials Set ($48). This is a lovely selection of Amore Pacific products which includes:

    • The Essential Creme Fluid (5 ML)
    • Resort Collection Sun Protection Mist SPF 30 (1.0 oz)
    • Resort Collection Sun Protection Cushion SPF 30+ (0.17 oz)
    • Natural Protector SPF 35 (1.0 oz)

Another item on my to buy list is the Briogeo Scalp Revival Scalp Therapy Essentials Kit ($85)! I’ve heard so many raves about the Scalp Revival Charcoal + Peppermint Oil Cooling Jelly Conditioner I thought it was about time I tried it. This includes a full-size of it as well as full-sizes of the Scalp Reviva™ Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo and Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment. Quite a great set!

And one other great set is the new Tarte Clay Clique Amazonian Clay Set which is a mere $12 (less with 15% Off) that includes deluxe-sizes of Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascaram Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave Princess, and Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Harmony.

Any cool makeup or beauty sets that you picked up?

    Do share them!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Thinking about Amore Pacific set, nice Wayne to try the line! Thank you! Side note, glad I ordered the sun safety kit, it was sold out even before the Rouge event!

    • Isabella Muse

I got that one Gina! Def a nice set 🙂 OH GOOD! Glad you got it. It traditionally sales out super fast and sometimes comes back later in the Summer but who wants to wait!?

Have had minis of the Belif, liked, but prob would prefer to do minis again. I s.t. get their products confused with Laneige. Good tip. Thus far, my list was fragrance. Anybody want to tell me why Commodity travel sprays are considered HAZMAT and ship that way? Wtf is that about, a travel spray that won’t travel? Ground ship only. That’ll be at least six weeks to my house, with the crazy laser ship folks. To reiterate, wtf? And why would I want hazmat perfume, anyway?

    • Isabella Muse

I wondered that too. I ordered velvet and also ordered the new nest and both are shipping ground. wonder why!? Maybe alcohol content but seems unlikely since the are high quality perfume and likely have more fragrance oil vs alcohol content. Who knows!?

    • Heather

The alcohol is considered a hazard because of flammability. 🙂 Even high-quality perfumes have a far higher alcohol content than perfume oil content.

      • Isabella Muse

I didn’t think that was what it was because a lot of their regular fragrances ship without hazmat. It seemed random didn’t it!?

        • Heather

Odd! I’ve always had any order with perfume bottles (or nail polishes) ship ground only “ usually 2-day ground, but still hazmat! Maybe I’ve just always had a weird experience 🙂

          • Isabella Muse

Maybe because I’m in NY? I notice I get my orders like next day lately with lasership!

  • Dee

Their value sets are something I absolutely love! Good idea to throw these in my cart and take advantage of the sale.

    • Isabella Muse

totally worth scoring at an extra discount they are a great deal!

  • Christine Kozovski

Ahhh I was debating about the too faced set but decided to pick up a skincare set instead! I completely missed the amore value set too! Guess another trip to Sephora is in order! 🙂 Thanks for the list!

I had the belif set in my cart along with Sex on the Peach. I was just running out of belif from when I bought the set during the December sale. I originally had a few more sets in the cart but when I saw the total I figured I’d better remove a few items.
