NYX Away We Glow Shadow Palette Is Yet Another Nude Palette I Want

I have to admit I do want the NYX Away We Glow Shadow Palette ($21.99). Yes, I know, it’s another warm palette but I do so love my warmer nudes. NYX released this palette in two shade selections called Lovedbeam and Hooked On Glow. In promo images they actually look a lot alike but it seems like one has more duskier pinks, mauves and nudes where as the other contains an assortment of nudes and earthy greens.

Each palette holds 10 shades and promises a buttery texture. I have to admit that NYX’s prices throw me lately though! $21.99 for a palette? That’s pretty mid-range pricing there. These better knock my socks clear off for that price.

The NYX Away We Glow Shadow Palette is available now at ulta.com.

P.S. Anyone see a Quiet Place yet? I went to see it with some friends last night and we left the theater with mixed emotions. I think we read into a lot of the hype on the Internet and many of the ravings reviews so we expect a little more than we got. I won’t ruin it for anyone (not that there’s much to ruin as it’s pretty much self explanatory if you’ve seen the trailers and posts about it) but I just thought it was lacking something and wasn’t nearly as groundbreaking and incredible and oh so amazing as everyone was saying. Did I miss something? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

Yes, $21.99 is a little steep for NYX. I just paid $29 (with 20% off) for a HUGE Morphe palette with 24 shades. So I can’t see paying $22 for this meager offering! Maybe half that, like $11 or $12. Colors are pretty though but not paying that kind of $. Wait til they go on clearance like their Air, Water, Earth & Fire ones did. 😉

Sheeesh NYX, all I have to do is throw in a few extra dollars and I can get a better, high end palette from Smashbox (petal metal) or one of the new Mally palettes. (rolls eyes)

The price is steep for Nyx. Don’t think that worked out well for their Element series of palettes. Also — more warm nudes….. so over the trend… sigh…

Nyx already jacked…think the 50$ xmas palettes; one is still on Ulta. 22 for a tenner? It only sucks comparatively, to Nyx’s old price structure, and to not-yet-jacked DS brands. The gap between DS and midrange is but a hairsbreadth at present. I think I might do elements, if they are still available at Nyx for 1/2 price. I like this cooler palette, but have zero need.

I agree with all the comments that it’s a bit pricy, especially since Milan did 2 very similar palettes that although wereally a bit overpriced it wasn’t as much and you got a little more for your money. I can wait until they go on sale or offer a fantastic gift bag with it.

That top one, with the green, reminds me strongly of the palette that Ulta gave as a birthday premium during the third quarter in 2017. If it turns out it’s actually the same palette with the shades shifted around a bit, Do Not Buy It. It was 10 shades of dreadful, a truly disappointing palette. Even for free it wasn’t worth the price.

Definitely too high for NYX unless their shadows have gotten a lot better. Especially since ULTA now has Makeuo Revolution and Sleek. The MR palette dupe for Naked Heat is my current go to and was only $7.00!

    • Nikki

Which MR palette is a dupe for Naked Heat? I liked the colors in Naked Heat but not enough to pay $54 for them!

      • Kitty Commander

I know this comment is late but The Reloaded palette in the shade “Fever” is the heat dupe. Also the new Rimmel London “Spice” palette seems to be a dupe for the naked heat palette and it is pigmented!

Way too expensive. I just don’t get it. I know that NYX is constantly on sale at Ulta, but still. I just don’t think that the general quality of NYX justifies the price. You can get a large Morphe palette for $23.

I’ve always thought Nyx was overpriced and overhyped. Just not a fan. I also am Uber irritated w that Honey Dew Me Up “primer”. It is NOT a primer, it’s a serum. It is not a dupe for the YSL Touch Eclat blur primer, bc it is not a primer, and does not blur. If you’re looking for a dupe for that Makeup Revolution makes a blur primer that is quite similar. It is not a dupe for the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir (way overpriced and over hyped), bc it is not an oil. If you want that you can make your own. It’s just essential oils and gold flakes, you can order the supplies online. If I called it a dupe for anything, it wld be the Farsali Unicorn Essence (also sucks).
