About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Mayhem Muse, heads up on this one if you’re thinking of trying it. I somehow managed to snag it in the millisecond it was available at Sephora. Of course they sent me the wrong color so bummer right out of the gate. I ordered the lightest shade (Moonlight?) and they sent me the medium shade Softlight. Softlight is pretty dark and doesn’t adapt or sheer out on application. It’s dry, hard to blend, and gathered in fine lines and was really noticeable on the skin. As you always say, your mileage may vary. But I was really disappointed in this product. My very first Tatcha fail.

oh no that sucks! I ordered two shades but haven’t tried them yet! Tatcha has disappointed me with the Silk Canvas so I was a little wary of purchasing this! I hope it works out for me as these were expensive!

The silk canvas wasn’t great for me either but I’m determined to use it. It’s ok, just didn’t blow my socks off. I guess I got to the point of expecting everything from Tatcha to be great because so much of it is. I really hope this works for you cause you’re right! It’s terribly expensive for what it is. And I know you’re picky as hell with eye products, I am too. I’m looking forward to your review to see if you can make it work and then I can get some tips from you if it does.

likewise! I am absolutely dedicated to using it and making it work lol! I literally just got it in the mail yesterday but haven’t had a sec to try it. I know I spent 10 minutes trying to open it lol! I thought it flipped open because of the clasp. I realized 10 minutes later it unscrewed. I’m a genius!

Hahaha! Same! I fiddled with it to the point of major frustration and then finally asked my husband to try. He unscrewed it and then just looked at me like…really?

LOL! I was about to get out the knife and flip that clasp off! Drove me up a wall for 10 mins!
