This New CosRX Skincare Launch Has the Beauty World Buzzing

CosRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid is currently taken the K-Beauty world by storm and everyone is their mom is raving how great the formula is. Apparently people are raving it as glass skin in a bottle but I’ll reserve my judgement until I try it later today when my shipment arrives.

“WHAT? You ordered it! Why? You don’t have oily skin or acne!” Too true but as the Summer approaches my skin does produce a lot more oil and I was thinking or hoping this might be helpful during those warm, humid days to prevent oiliness.

The Two in One Poreless Power Liquid acts to not only control oil but also gently exfoliates your skin. It contains 88% willow bark water and salicylic acid to sooth acne-prone skin. The real kick of the product is the fact it is much gentler in nature compared to some of CosRX’s more powerful exfoliators and brighteners like BHA Blackhead Power Liquid and the Triple C Lightening Serum not to mention you can also combine Two in One Poreless Powder Liquid with these products without rendering them useless.

It also contains a natural astringent to help clear skin and give it that glass-like look everyone in Korea and Instagram is after. Apparently, Two in One Poreless Power Liquid sold out within hours in the Philippines and I imagine once it hits the US market this may it’ll sell out just as fast.

I’ll tell you all about it after I give it a whirl!

It’s now available at amazon.com and at ulta.com.

Muse, have you tried Biologique Rechercher? I can’t remember if you’ve ever mentioned it. I finally gave it a whirl last week, and I don’t know how I feel about it. LOL! I guess it makes my skin smooth and my pores small, but I loathe sticky toners, and this is pretty sticky (I’ve tried three different formulas). I was expecting it to burn my face, but nah! I’m a seasoned acid user who gets peels from the derm often, so I felt pretty much nothing.

The CorsX one sounds like a good formula, and the high willowbark content should work great for tightening pores. Count me intrigued and eager to read your review. Though if glass skin is the effect, that sounds like it’d leave a sticky feel to the skin–isn’t that how you get the glow?

I have but I’m super bad about completely incorporating into my routine. I always feel like I’m using other stuff that doesn’t work with it. To get the “glass” effect I’ve seen any number of techniques from essence to oil. Everyone seems to achieve the results differently. I personally finish my routine with Goku-jyu Cream Lotion. That gives me that plump dewy glass look. I don’t like doing it though because I feel like it makes me look oily when I’m wearing a lot of makeup. So, I tend to stick to doing it when I want a more natural look and finish it with concealer and a bit of cheek stain and mascara. That way I get that plush, glass finish without having heavier makeup on. If that makes sense? I looked at the ingredients here and it didn’t seem like anything would be sticky here so I do wonder how it’ll produce the effect. It’s also sometime to be used under your current moisturizer so I think they are saying it’ll heal any inflammation and clear skin (while taming oil) and the end result will be smoother, brighter skin but not necessarily producing the glass-effect. In that case, you’ll need to add a few more steps. But really, glass skin is a process anyway isn’t it!? and no one product will give us the end result ;-D

Yeah, biologique doesn’t seem to pair well with my existing skincare. Sigh!

Can you believe I’ve not tried anything from CorsX yet? Crazy! This one will probably be my first.

        • Isabella Muse

likewise! And when I use it I end up going very light with my nightly care for fear it’ll either cause damage or not work. I feel like it’s a product you can use if you don’t have a daily routine that contains a lot of products. If you’re minimal about nightmare it’s great but if you’re high maintenance about your PM routine it just doesn’t seem to fit in! Really?! You need to get in there! 🙂 It’s a great brand!

Not likely to hit Ulta anytime soon, though your link goes there. I AM s/p acne (differin), aged/oily/dehydrated, so Cosrx is prob my all time fave. Where is this? Yesstyle? The sooner, the better, baby. One of the things I like is how nothing I’ve tried is thicker than essence, so you can get the ingredients w/o all the extraneous stuff clogging you up.

    • Isabella Muse

cupidrop did an early prebook for it but gets new stock may. Yesstyle not yet but I don’t doubt it’ll be available from Ulta in may, ulta has been good getting stuff on time lately! I notice I get a bit of smaller hormonal pimples on my lower chin lately I was hoping this might work for such an crop up!

I need this yesterday. Ugh. I love the BHA Blackhead power liquid, but the insane photosensitivity means I can only use it once a week or every two. I have insanely sensitive combination skin, acne and eczema attributed to severe OAS and my oily areas dominate my face. This new liquid sounds so, so lovely.

    • Isabella Muse

have you tried using it PM only!? And SPF obviously in the AM!

  • kimkats

this stuff has kind of a weird ingredient list… It’s got hydrogenated castor oil in it, so not really sure how that’s supposed to control oil or exfoliate skin…. I would think it’d make oily skin a greasy mess in hot weather! Shoot, I think it’d make MY skin a greasy mess in hot weather!!

  • Liz

So, I have til May to decide where to put this in my skin care routine. I’ve been trying so hard to keep it simple but keep finding new stuff I love or want to try. Should this be AM or PM or both? I can’t tell if it’s a toner or essence or more like a serum. I know it has astringent properties like a toner but it also sounds like a treatment. I recently added KLAIRS Supple Preparation Toner and I’m obsessed with it. I’m thinking maybe this new one goes after the KLAIRS toner. Can’t wait for your review and feedback once your arrives!

    • Isabella Muse

I’d personally go with PM and always make sure to put on SPF in the AM. It’s actually a BHA treatment with an essence-like consistency (thin, runny, clear) but for the best effects you’ll want to apply it directly on a freshly cleansed face prior to any other products. From my understanding it works well in conjunction with other AHAs and BHAs but you’ll want to start off slowly and make sure your skin is ok with this before getting wild and crazy by cocktailing other items. You’ll want to use Supple Preparation Toner after your BHA. I used it last night for the first time and it feels a bit sticky and tightens a good deal which I wasn’t crazy about as I’m dry skinned. My skin seems to be purging as I used it and I now have a small outcrop of whiteheads on my chin which is really abnormal for me, I suspect it was brought on by the addition of this. I’ll have to see what happens after I use it a few days 🙂 but that’s how stuff is going down so far 😀

      • Liz

Purging is never good, hope it calms down for you! Thanks and yes to the SPF for sure! I have “mature” but oily skin and am already using Drunk Elephant C for Day and Glycolic Night Serum + The Ordinary Buffet and Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta pads a few times a week but have never been able to really improve my pores, blackheads or the texture of my skin. Besides the Supple Preparation toner, I’ve just added the NeoGen Real Cica pads which I really like but too soon to tell real results. If only everyone would stop making new stuff til I get tired of what I already have or give it time to work LOL. I’ll hold off on this one for now!

        • Isabella Muse

Yeah sucks! Went through it with Clarisonic! Was the worst! Man that’s some line up! Do you find they all get along friendly like together? I stopped using Dr Gross’s AB pads when I started Drunk Elphant’s Glycolic Night Serum, I was concerned it would be too much! NeoGen are great but I hate having to refrigerate them. It’s a pain sometimes. I have a skincare fridge in my bathroom but it’s already loaded up with everything under the sun and I just don’t have room to put exfoliating pads in there too! I just want to leave them in my cabinet and reach them for when I need them ya know? LOL Agreed! I can use a slow down on skincare!!!!

          • Liz

I can’t imagine what my hubby would say if I put a skincare fridge in our bathroom, although I would love to! Maybe I could convince him it’s a beer fridge lol. My lineup IS getting overcrowded but so far no negative reactions. I think the Buffet, Supple Prep Toner and Cica pads are all really gentle and seem to absorb well even though I have oily skin. I find most of my breakouts these days come from what I eat (corn, wheat, dairy all cause me cystic acne bumps) but I do remember a big purge flare up when I started using my Clarisonic several years ago…had totally forgotten! Have you done a post about why/which products should be refrigerated?
