It’s supposed to snow on Saturday which is a perfect time to catch Rossy de Palma in Madame! Rossy’s such a stunning creature and a great actress and her talents probably aren’t perfectly utilized in this film but if you like quirky French rom coms you might enjoy this. It’s about an American couple living in Paris and their maid is Rossy. One night they throw a dinner for 12 but the husband’s son unexpectedly shows up bringing the total guests to 13. The wife being a perfectionist doesn’t like the idea of an odd number of guests so she asked her maid, Rossy, to pretend to be a rich Spanish heiress and the 14th guest at dinner. Somewhere in the bustle Rossy meats David who’s a rich British aristocrat and the Cinderella story begins! It’s quite a cute movie and nice to sit snuggled on the couch on a snowy day to watch.

    I confess, I was super pumped for this collection…and then talked myself out of buying into it, largely because I couldn’t find it in store to look at in person. I guess it was too weird or niche for the average MAC customer to bother stocking it on shelves? The only thing I bought was the lip gloss palette, which is an odd one. The colors in the pan are very different on the lip. I guess the strangeness mimics the odd appeal of the actress? Anyway, because it was so peculiar, I figured it wouldn’t sell out and I’d see it in the Goodbyes section eventually. It has been since the holidays, but it’s finally there. I’m glad I took the gamble of waiting so that I could get this phenomenal packaging (and hopefully equally exciting product) at a discount. Very psyched for the purple “Rossy”� color and the eye palette I just ordered. Love RdP, and love her all over that lenticular packaging!!!!!

      I think a lot of people don’t know who Rossy is which makes me gasp in horror. I’m glad you are able to snag this stuff on sale now ;-D I actually have the lipsticks but didn’t purchase any of the other items but I’m oddly tempted just because I love her but I know I’ll never used it ;-D Have you seen Madame yet?! thoughts?

        I’ve never seen Madame, but I love her other work with Almodovar. Woman on the Verge in particular is a classic, and I watched it over and over when I was in college.

        The makeup comes Monday. I have high hopes I’m going to love what’s inside as much as the packaging! What’s interesting to me about the eye palette is it has a lot of the colors that were drawing me to the Strobe Creepy Cute palette. It’s not same same but in a similar ballpark.
