CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask ($16) is an overnight mask (or you can apply it rinse it off should you like) that’s created almost entirely of propolis extract! Propolis Extract isn’t quite something that will benefit my own skin type since it is typically used for repairing damaged skin and removing bacteria that could cause clogged pores. It would best benefit those suffering from acne or redness. If you have blemish-prone skin this might be just what you need to maintain clearer skin.’

If you’re anything like me though and you don’t have issues with blemishes you might be wondering if CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask is for you.

I have drier, duller skin with absolutely no redness and only the occasional pimple or blemish. According to some studies Propolis Extract might reduce the appearance of wrinkles but I don’t have any facial wrinkles as of yet however, it is also most importantly known as a natural sealant and helps skin to retain more moisture which is actually one of the reasons I like this mask.

The ingredients are simple and the main one is Propolis Extract which makes up nearly 87% of this mask. That’s the thing about CosRX, they aren’t selling you something that claims to have so and so ingredient in it but that ingredient is SUPER low on the list meaning it’s barely in the formula at all. When they say they are putting something into their formulas be it propolis or hyaluronic acid you can rest easy knowing it is formulated with the max amount of that ingredient and you know that the item is going to benefit your skin.

So, as I said above if you experience redness due to past or current blemishes or your skin is prone to breaking out adding this mask to your routine may just prove beneficial to keeping your complexion clear.

As for me, I’m drier, dull, and I could use all the moisture I can get so I use this mask as a sealant. I begin my putting on all my normal skincare and I end my routine by putting this on top. It does a freaking hell if an awesome job sealing in the moisture from my moisturizer so my skin is much more hydrated in the morning. I don’t use it everyday but I do try to get it in once or twice a week as it leaves my skin so much more hydrated and brighter.

The formula has a gel-like texture with a very light floral-ish honey scent that’s barely noticeable. I’ve read some reviews that called it sticky but I think it absorbs super fast into my skin and didn’t leave it tacky nor sticky. If you’re using it as a mask it rinses off fairly easily however, I get the best benefits from it by leaving it on overnight and removing it in the AM when washing my face.

I’m not quite CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask’s demographic but I love how it seals in moisture and leaves my skin super hydrated so I’ll indefinably continue to buy it!

CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask is available now from CosRX’s official amazon.com store.

I am totally Cosrx’s target market, and might be the chief lobbyist behind Ulta getting it. Three emails with rationales, and voila. In reddit terms, aging, (oops, aged) oily, dehydrated. This sounds great for over the differin at night. I use the propolis ampoule, but not religiously. Right now, trying to cut back and pare down all routines. Currently, it’s a modified seven skin thing, with at least 4 Cosrx layers, including the new one you turned me on to, from the new Amazon store. Could not be more pleased. Cosrx being so relatively inexpensive does not hurt either. All those decades of HE s/c that did so little. Cosrx and I are totally going steady!

Wow, the first ingredient is Propolis? That’s impressive!

I think what you’re layering and how many products you’re layering could affect how sticky this feels. I know for a lot of gel, if I have too many products on my face already, they don’t sink in and remain tacky for quite a while–sometimes never going away.

    • Isabella Muse

Very! Mmm I typically don’t have an issue with tackiness thankfully! Even when layering various items!

This looks interesting! You got me into the Hada Labo premium hyaluronic solution and I’ve really been enjoying it the past several months, so maybe I’ll give this a shot too, even if my skin is oily. I also need to try that new Poreless Power Liquid because that is definitely right up my alley. So much skincare to try, so little face to try it on… -_-‘

Muse, have you tried the Cosrx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream? Great stuff! At night I wear retinols, and we leave the heater on, but it really seals in the hydration without clogging pores, and I wake up to soft, moisturized skin. I’m on my second jar, just love it. You can also buy at Ulta.

I recently bought the Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight one as my skin is not only dry but also dull. So far I’m loving the results. I use it as a sleeping mask and wake up to glowing, soft, and plump skin. It claims to make your skin mochi soft and it really does. If you have dull skin then try that one as
it contains skin brightening ingredients. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
