Milani Keep It Sweet Sugar Lip Scrub a Treat For Dry Lips

Milani Keep It Sweet Sugar Lip Scrub ($10) launched a few months ago but I never got a chance to try it. For some reason, I couldn’t find it at any drugstores but recently it started popping up everywhere I went. Finally I can share my thoughts with you.

I’m a bit of a lip scrub junkie. They are just so damn handy to have around. I typically use them in the evening prior to bad and slather on something moisturizing to sleep in so my lips are nice and smooth in the AM. I also use them in the morning if I’m using a super pigmented lipstick or a drier formula I know will look less than smooth. Lip scrubs are just one of those handy tools that make anything look good on my chronically dry lips.

Keep It Sweet Sugar Lip Scrub tastes like yummy vanilla frosting and uses natural sugar granules to scrub away flakiness. The formula is soft, easy to smooth on lips, and doesn’t fall away in chunks the way like Wet n Wild’s new Perfect Pout Lip Scrub does. It’s my ideal texture for a lip scrub as it has some nice hydrating oils in it like almond, olive, and coconut to add moisture but isn’t overly greasy or oil plus the sugar is refined and easy enough to smooth on and wipe away (although you might be tempted to just lick it off!).

Milani also has a Keep It Smooth Luxe Lip Treatment which can be used after the scrub to add hydration.

Considering how often Milani is on sale at the drugstores you’ll never to pay full price either.

Likey!

Do try this one!

Wow awesome! I will try this one. I have only tried a stick form from elf which was hard to use and too gritty alone. I love the classy packaging on this Milani one. I was unaware of its existence! I will likely need the follow up hydration treatment too haha.

I’ve been tempted to make a diy one but tbh I bet my diy jar would get contaminated by bacteria pretty quickly. I’m sure part of this Milani ingredient list is intended to prevent sugar-loving microbes.

omg those lipstick lip scrubs are agonizing! I hate those! ;-D DIY is actually a good idea because really there’s not a lot of ingredients that make up a lip scrub. You can always just whip up a single use batch! A little sugar, some essential oil! No need to make an entire jar full! 😀

Ooh sounds good. My fave moisturizing lip scrub right now is the MAC Sweet Vanilla lip scrubtious but it is nearly $18..! I was having such trouble finding any Milani products but my local Ulta has a full display dedicated to them now 😀
