Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream’s Superpower Is It’s Scent

If Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream ($15) had a superpower it would totally be its scent. This stuff is crazy strong! Whoa! You can slather some on and your hands will smell like the fragrance of Bum Bum Cream all day. See what I did there? Yeah. You gotta evoke your inner teenage boy to enjoy that one.

No but seriously, this stuff is super scented. I wish the fragrance mist was as long lasting and lingering! A small amount applied to my hands will literally last several hours well after application.

LOVE IT!

The thing is this isn’t really a great pick if you’re sensitive to fragrance but if you like Sol de Janeiro signature scent you’re bound to enjoy it. How does one even describe that scent? Some people call it the scent of Summer, others smell suntan oil, for me it smells like an exotic pistachio ice cream. The brands says it contains notes of pistachio and salted caramel scent. But it’s so much more. It’s a very tropical, sizzling hot fragrance that has so many elements going on. Is it tanning oil? Is it caramel? Vanilla? I know there’s a certain nuttiness here for sure.

The hand cream has a lightweight texture that provides a nice deal of moisture without being greasy or oily. It hydrates my dry hands quite well plus as I said the scent just lingers on and on and on and on….!

Now that Summer is on the way I highly suggest picking up a tube of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream!

    I mentioned the strength of the fragrance in the hand cream in your post on the body spray, so they’re capable of boosting the fragrance in the body cream or spray instead of ONLY in the hand cream. However, I too love the hand cream!
    I do love the re-design of your website, seems cleaner, clearer.

    I am sure the whole internet is going to hate me but I have on numerous occasions sniffed the sol de jainero line at sephora , and while yes , it smells good , I dont see the hype! It’s like, I want to love it bc everyone else does .. but this just doesnt do anything for me … anyone out there feel the same?

    Does it have the shimmery bits that are in the bum bum cream? I’ve wanted them to put that cream in a tube like this so bad, because I hate jar packaging. I wonder if this might work instead.

      no shimmer thankfully! 😀 It’s so small though! It won’t last as a body cream sadly!

    I do love the scent but to me, it reminds me of a spray deodorant I have had in the past. I just wish I could remember which one! It’s so familiar and I have no idea why.

    Do you find the scent stronger with the hand cream or the actual bum bum body cream? It’s time for me to stock up on the bum bum cream but if the hand cream is stronger i’ll get that too or possibly instead of.

      I think they are about the same scent wise!!!!! To me it seems like it lingers on my hands longer though for some reason 😀
