I want too because I’m a junkie, but I’m “trying” to resist LOL I already have all Tarte’s colors LOL

  • Susan

Beauddiction just posted a video on YT comparing this one to Tarte’s own Clay Play II palette and they are almost identical. :-O C’mon, Tarte, use some imagination.

  • Denise

I found this IN my actual ULTA yesterday! I was shocked, given that it wasn’t supposed to be available online until today. I swatched the tester, determined everything in the palette was dupeable from my existing collection…
and bought it anyway. The stupid pretty packaging sucked me right on in. On the plus side, I redeemed points to pay for it.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-D The packaging really is gorgeous!

  • Carol

Likewise, I’m waiting for your swatches/opinion. I love the colors but don’t *need* it unless it’s absolutely fabulous.

I think my comment vanished, perhaps because I mentioned another beauty blogger or because I mentioned “that video site.” At any rate, this new Aspyn palette is almost identical to Tarte’s own Clay Play II palette. Like they thought no one would notice??? I can’t afford to buy a $40 palette or whatever just because of pretty packaging, and it makes me mad that Tarte is selling virtual dupes and calling it all new. (Muse, please delete/edit any of my duplicate comments, thanks!)

All comments vanish until I approve them. I don’t delete comments, even nasty ones get through most days so long as they aren’t personally attacking people or being abusive. I wouldn’t delete your comment because you mentioned youTube or another beauty blogger. Although if you put a link in the comment sometimes that goes to spam and I don’t always see it because I don’t check my spam comments often enough! Aside from that I’d def not delete a comment for any petty reason 🙂 I still purchased it, totally guilty ugh! But I couldn’t resist the cute packaging ;-D

Gah, I’m a mess this morning, thanks. I know some people like to buy stuff for its pretty packaging and it makes them happy, which is cool for them. I can’t afford it though. And I don’t know why this latest palette from Tarte is so thoroughly pissing me off; I mean, it’s not like I have to buy it. Guess I feel like the company is taking advantage of people — do the marketers think, “Hey, it’s identical to Clay Play II, but that was a few months ago, and no one will notice!”)???

        • Isabella Muse

Don’t worry we all feel your pain and agree with it. Sucks how they take advantage of our addiction :-/

        • Denise

I don’t own either of the Clay Play palettes thankfully, so caving on this isn’t quite as bad. Plus $39 for such high end packaging is pretty good!

  • Saoirce

This is exactly my kind of palette, and I know this because I already own similar palettes, including by Tarte. I must resist! But I do look forward to seeing your swatches, and hope that my will stays strong.

  • kjh

I’ll give it a prettier side, rosier side of neutral, but pretty sure i’m duped enough through CP.

  • Christina

Whoa, the comments around instagram over this palette being way too light and/or uninspiring for most people. I won’t be picking this palette up, but I can’t deny how pretty the packaging is!

    • Saoirce

I can certainly understand how some people feel this is palette is too light, but for skin tone as pale as mine, I see this as a palette with a full range from light to dark. This will be a tough holdout for me. The packaging sure is pretty!

      • Christina

Yes, as a fellow pale person, the colors would work well for me; I just already own a million of these shades. LOL! Personally, it’s a bit boring, but given how much makeup we all own, I don’t usually expect anything unique or unusual anymore.

  • K

I find it looks totally boring. Am I missing something? Perhaps it will look better in person
