Did You Know Pinrose Collaborated On A Sephora Collection!?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Pinrose Fragrances has teamed up with Sephora recently to create the Pinrose x Sephora Collection which includes a Clever Devil Brush Set, Scented Lip Shimmers, and Secret Genius Scented Highlighter.

This is a weird collaboration that has me singing “One of the things is not like the other! One of these things doesn’t belong!” I don’t really understand how Pinrose, a company dedicated to creating unique sensory fragrances, decided, “Hey! Let’s do a lipgloss, makeup brush, and highlighter collaboration!” It just seems odd to me.

But worst than that is the Pinrose x Sephora Collection Clever Devil Scented Lip Shimmers which apparently each have a “carefully selected Pinrose fragrance for a delightful experience.” You can’t have fragrance in a lip product that doesn’t translate to flavor as well and the only Pinrose Fragrance I can think of that would remotely taste good would be Gilded Fox. The others aren’t exactly gourmand so I have to admit I cringed slightly when they said these had a Pinrose fragrance for each shade. I could be terribly wrong and maybe the scent won’t translate to the flavor of the gloss. Let’s hope so!

Here’s the low down on the Pinrose x Sephora Collection.

Pinrose x Sephora Collection Clever Devil Brush Set $48
A colorful, fun brush set created in collaboration with Pinrose that have holographic metallic handles and bright rainbow bristles. Includes Powder, Smudge, Angled Blush, Angled Eyeshadow, and Blending Brushes.

Pinrose x Sephora Collection Clever Devil Scented Lip Shimmers $28
Just throwing it out there but these holographic lip shimmers would be awesome as an eyeshadow! They can be worn alone or as a color transforming shade on top of your favorite lipstick!

  • Sun Saint
  • Lil’ Dipper

Pinrose x Sephora Collection Secret Genius Scented Highlighter $22
A cream highlighter scented like Secret Genius that gives a soft prismatic blue glitter glow on skin or face.

Whatcha think?

It’s a bit of a weird one with me and feels like a too late unicorn collection! I see it being on sale super fast!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I would totally buy the brushes..
When they get to the sale section 🙂

So I know I am going to sound jaded, but these three all remind me of the boxed sets that you can get at Ross for $5.99-$7.99! You know the ones that have the rainbow brushes or the holographic lipglosses…usually brands I have never heard of before like Jasmine La Belle, but more recently they have had Paris Hilton or even Juicy Couture branding on them, which has been weird. Anyway, seems like cheap goods with a massive price tag that I have no interest in (althaough I do have many of their fragrances)! :0)

Also nordie’s rack carries a lot of these different rainbow brushes too! ;-D Did you try the new Meteorites!? I was thinking of you as I typed the review early this AM!

      • Julie Fielding

Ha, I haven’t been to the Rack since we moved out to the forest! It’s over an hour drive and I am too lazy! I haven’t read the Meteorites review yet, since I get your newsletter, and it seems like we might be a day behind (today’s was Pinrose through Lorac Pro 4). Was dying to know your thoughts, since I know you were scouring for it in EU. The buzz on Fragrantica was that it was way more apple and not like the original. I am still wanting it, of course, and still kicking myself in the ass for selling my original off about 10 years ago for maybe $15 (temporary phase of living a clutter free life and obvious lapse in judgement!!).

        • Isabella Muse

the forest? lol ;-D sounds lovely! Yeah, newsletter is a day behind sadly 🙂 It just seems so elusive probably because the buzz is everyone wondering if it smells like the original! ohhhhhhhhh no!!!!!!!!!!!! face palm moment!

  • Michelle Luna/Michelley/Chelley

    Nope everywhere.
Boring. You’re right, they’re too late to the unicorn party.
    And I hate highlight hahahaha.
