Sephora Ulta

P.S. I’m way behind but is anyone binging the Terror or did anyone watch it when it was on AMC!? I’m totally loving it! I have two more episodes left and I can’t wait to see what happens. And I have so many damn questions! Mainly is Mr Hickey a complete fraud!? Is he in fact Mr Hickey at all or did he perhaps kill the real Mr Hickey and board the Terror as Caulker’s Mate under falsehoods!?

I think we can all agree something is off with him!

Is this a reissue? I am certain I own that highlighter palette – it lives in my travel bag.

    • Isabella Muse

It looks like the photo edit highlighter and eyeshadow palettes that releases a few months ago for spring!

Looks good but I’d rather buy items individual than these large Masterclass sets.

  • Shannon

I ordered the Masterclass set as soon as I read this post! I could not find any reviews so I’m taking a chance.I have not purchased Smashbox in a few years but looking forward to this!

      • Shannon

I got it. I really love the size. It is amazing the variety of product packed into this. The quality is great.. same as previous SB products I have purchased in past. I dd a side by side comparison with my Naked Heat and Backtalk kits. As far as blushes and eyeshadows, they are very close in color. But, since this has the contour colors and the lippies also, I am glad I purchased because it will be great for travel. Very happy!!!!

I want that Masterclass set too but was waiting to see a few swatches. As for the Terror, I loved it! I won’t spoil it for you but you will get your answers. So good.

    • Isabella Muse

oh my god really? two more epps for me and I can’t wait. I just hope it doesn’t leave me with my head spinning! I hate those “I didn’t get it” ending ;-D

      • Felicia

You have to Let me know what you think about the ending. I don’t know anyone else who is watching it so I had no one to discuss it with. I’m still not sure how I feel about the ending. On a different subject….Some goodies arrived in the mail today from Ulta and there is one product you should try if you haven’t yet cuz I know how you love a shiny lipstick. I also know how you feel about NYX coming out with a million different/same lipsticks but this ones good. I bought one of the new slip tease lip lacquer in decadent as a platinum perk early access last week and I don’t regret it in the least bit. Got a bunch of my Stila glitters at the $14 today too! Woo X-mas in June. I love when I forget I have makeup coming.

I’m back! and all watched ;-D Ok, so, I have a lot of different questions! I am so glad you watched this because no one I know watched it either and I had no one to chat about it with aside from some reddit users. ;-D I have to admit the ending was a little anti-climatic. From my understanding the book ending was different and Crozier got a happy ending with marriage, kids, etc…(never read the book, just reddit spoiled a lot of it)! But this ending seemed like he was punishing himself. Like he couldn’t go home because he was ashamed that he lost all his men but in reality he was actually one of the very few who was willing to “go down with the ship”. He really put his all into keeping those men alive even the ones that were against him, he still had forgiveness for them (aside from that ahole Hickey). One of my main questions at the end was how did Hickey know to cut out his tongue? This is apparently a binding ritual so how did Hickey know about it!? I mean he knew, everyone knew, Lady Silence had cut out her tongue but how did he even comprehend the ritual between her and the Tuunbaq? I guess you can somehow come to that conclusion honestly, if I was part of that crew not sure I’d have put two and two together regarding the tongue and the Tuunbaq. Some redditors didn’t understand why his tongue was rejected but I thought it fairly obvious that the Tuunbaq wasn’t a bad thing, he was merely protecting the land and the people. I think he rejected Hickey’s tongue because Hickey’s spirit was completely unclean and dark. And the chains/piercings? What was that about? I realize the men were completely out of their head due to lead poisoning but WTF was that all about? For a minute I thought maybe Eskimo raided the camp and did that but there MO was very peaceful, why would they do something so morbid or weird? It almost seemed ritualistic? Reddit users said he likely did it to himself to keep his eyes open? Whaaaaaaaaaa? I sometimes felt a little confused with the relationships in the film. Like Bridgens and Peglar, I mean, was that really a developed relationship?! Did I mean how close they were? At the end of The C the C the Open C when Bridgens laid down and apparently die who was the spirit that walked towards him!? Was that him leaving his body? Or Peglar?! It was a bit confusing to me. I also hated that Goodsir gave up so easily. It was out of character for him. He was really the little engine that could. To just suddenly drink poison and give up really seemed out of place for him! Anyway ;-D I can go on and on! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAD 4 of those NYX Lacquers in my cart and I proceeded to not buy them because I was worried they were something renamed lol! Now I need them ;-D Yayyyyy those stila glitters are my downfall 😀

          • Felicia

Ok first the make-up…To be honest I haven’t worn a lot of NYX lip products lately so this could be something renamed and I’m just not aware of it. Don’t want you to go buy something on my rec and then be disappointed. This one had an hourglass shaped spongy applicator. I only got the one color so I can only speak to that one but it was completely opaque in one swipe, thick and slick and shiny, and smelled like chocolate mint to me. Color only lasted a few hours but my lips felt moisturized.
            Now The Terror….
I kind of thought Crozier had a happy ending in a way. He was just living a much more simpler life now. And I thought it looked like maybe he did have kids in the end? Now I need to go to rewatch the episode . LOL. I do agree with you that he chose to stay because he was too humiliated that he was the sole survivor. I also thought that he might have chose to stay as penance because they killed the Tuunbaq. I wanted to know more about the backstory of Tuunbaq and I wish they had given us more. You are so smart. I didn’t even catch the binding ritual. I was just like, what the hell is he doing cutting off his tongue. I thought maybe he was doing it so he wouldn’t scream and then I thought, well he’s crazy why am I trying to make sense of anything he’s doing. Haha. I thought that Goodsir knew he wasn’t going to be leaving so he killed himself by poison knowing that everyone was going to eat him and then they would die too so his act of suicide he was actually saving a bunch of people and doing something noble. But maybe I was looking too much into it. I don’t know if he was thinking far enough ahead to that the creature would then eat everyone. But when Crozier started stuffing Hinckey down the Creatures throat I thought it was because he was trying to get that final bit of poison into him but after reading your synopsis I think I was very far off. I also don’t remember the chains and piercings. So I went back and watched this short little behind the scenes episode and the director guy explained it very close to what you were saying about Hickey being too unclean. Only it wasn’t his tongue it was his soul and that’s why he died because Crozier forced him to eat his soul by forcing his body down his throat and he had too many evil souls in him. I guess that’s kind of what I got from the behind the scenes thing. Hmmm.

          • Isabella Muse

I still want to try if you say they are good ;-D It sounds new to me can’t think of any of their stuff that tastes like chocolate mint ;-D

            On to the Terror:

Yeah maybe you’re right about the kids. They kind of portrayed him in a hero’s light in that end shot. I’d like to think he got his happy ending because man, he was dedicated to his job and his men! A true hero. I didn’t think of it as penance but you’re right, that does make some sense! As he did seem quite compassionate to the Eskimos. I wish there was more backstory on it too. You sort of had to google what tuunbaq was, otherwise you’d have just thought it was some big old killer polar bear. Oh yeah, he was cutting his tongue off. I just assumed it was how they controlled the tuunbaq and seeing him do it and offering it I was like, “Oh ok he thinks he can control this beast” I think the lead poisoning may everything a bit more trippy so when something weird happened I didn’t question it too much which may have made me miss some important things. oh but I mean the chains and the piercings on the face of one of the marines. I mean what was that about!? Oh yes, I agree. I think in swallowing up Hickey the Tuunbaq chocked on his evil!

There was just so much that went down with this show. I wish they’d do an S2 ;D I wonder if anyone will find Mr Blankey’s map! He deserved that. He really deserved it. Out of all the man he was really the one that went up to bat with the Tuunbaq!

I would like to see this in person. Sometimes I like to shop for Christmas gifts starting in summer if I see something I know someone would like. This would be a great gift. Yeah I know it’s early!!!!!
