New Summer Lip Lusts

I don’t know about you but I’m all about glossy, shiny lips for Summer and I’m happy to say there are quite a few new delicious lipglosses, lipsticks, and lip treatments available for the Summer season to lust after that will hydrate, add color, glossiness, and high-shine to your lips.

    There’s a great thing about sheers. For colors outside the comfort zone, you can dip a toe in without full-on commitment. Great way to try purples, oranges, reds, offbeat shades without feeling gobsmacked, if you’re leery. My current interest is piqued by the Fenty trios, night version. They are stand alone or toppers, from what i’ve read. My leerys are your faves, corals and pinks, and one of the three falls in there. In, unless they pull way too glittery for this old broad.

    I recently received a sample card of the new YSL liquid lip balms… They’re amazing! And they’re my ideal lip product!! Unfortunately, they’re also $32 each! Haha! But I’ve found I prefer a sheer, moisturizing wash of color, so I avoid traditional and liquid lipsticks. Waiting for the Sephora sale… I only one or two… right? ^_^

      You might not have to wait for Sephora sale as YSL always has 20% off ;-D they just recently had 20% off and should do another round soon ;D

    My absolute favourite lip product right now (and has been for a while) is the Fenty Gloss Bomb. Honestly the most gorgeous colour, extremely hydrating, half a second application, and a lot of product at such a good price. I’ve got a full review of it coming out in the near future, even though the hype died down about a year ago haha. Pat McGrath’s new glosses look amazing, those swatches on her Insta a few weeks ago killed me. I have to try out the NARS Lip Lacquer. Love anything and everything from them, surely I’d like this product as well.

    OMG – I just ADORE “About the Muse”! So honest, funny and real. I’m not particularly fond of getting caught in the rain, but I thought I would reach out anyway. 🙂

    As for lips, I’m happy to see so much glossiness. At least five items you listed caught my attention in a big way. Looking forward to checking them out – and hopefully finding out what you ended up loving.

    Very interested in the Maybelline ones. Did some searching for swatches and found an article on Allure.com saying that there will be 15 shades total, 5 of which are Walgreens exclusive. Let the hunt begin!

            Can’t wait for your full review on the Maybelline. The L’Oreal Shine lipsticks were such a disappointment for me. They probably work great on people with super smooth lips but I have lip lines/texture that have nothing to do with chapping and hydration. I exfoliate regularly. 🙂 They just settled in and stayed even if I primed my lips with a waxy balm and/or liner. I wonder if the formula is different enough to look good on me!

    Lately I’ve been disappointed with Nars. What you see is not always what you get but I’m still going to buy the gloss hoping for the perfect pinky peach with golden glow

    Definitely the Maybelline ones, because my HG lip colors are L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm. I’m hoping they are similar but with some updated shades.

    I love the texture and feel of NYX Lip Lingerie Glosses, but the colors were too light, they gave me zombie lips. I kinda want to try out the new Slip Tease ones, looks like they might have darker colors.

    Want to try the Bite Maple lip mask also.
