Bath & Body Works Moisture Lip Crayons Could Mean More To Come

Bath & Body Works Moisture Lip Crayons launched late last week and I can’t help but feel this means we’ll see more lip products very soon. Because, hey, we all know how brands love beating a dead horse. Considering Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works are of the same family I’m surprised liquid lipsticks and lip crayons haven’t evolved in store sooner. Victoria’s Secrets has done away with their core makeup but they still promote and pimp their many, many lipglosses, liquid lipsticks, and chubby lip pencils to death.

Bath & Body Works has definitely been stepping outside their lane of traffic lately and venturing into many skincare launches such as facial masks, facial mists, and other items. This isn’t really a huge surprise considering they used to carry Dr. Wexler as well as C.O. Bigelow skincare.

I guess it was only a matter time they took the reigns for themselves and launched a range of skincare under their own brand name!

But the real topic of conversation here is the new Moisture Lip Crayons. I can’t say I remember a time when Bath & Body Works carried makeup but I’m sure at one point in their history they have. I know this likely means they’ll take this product launch and run with and run with it and run with it. I suspect we’ll see more lip products on the horizon because as I said they do so love beating a dead horse.

The fact of the matter is Victoria’s Secret actually makes a good deal of money from their line of lip products and to some extent those lip products have a bit of a cult following so why should Bath & Body Works do the same?

As for me I just miss all the cute Liplicious Lipglosses and I’d rejoice if they decided to bring those back.

What do you think of the new Bath & Body Works Moisture Lip Crayons? Do you think more is on the horizon?

I wish Liplicious would come back too. They used to do lip gloss that corresponded with the scents of the lotions and body sprays before they discontinued the line. My favorites were always the Halloween and Christmas ones.

Unfortunately, I never tried the Liplicious glosses, but I remember one of the first makeup items I purchased as a pre-teen/teen was a trio of Goldie lipglosses from my local mall’s B&BW, which was peak early/mid 2000s. They were so pigmented and smelled of vanilla. I also remember stealing a Tutti Dolci Lemon Meringue lipgloss that was gifted to my mom from my aunt, which smelled so good that I always wanted to lick my lips every time I wore it.

ALL their old lipglosses were divine ;-D I really enjoyed the seasonal ones! It’s a shape they discontinued all that stuff! I hope these crayons mean they’ll make a come back!

Yes, B&BW had makeup! It was divine! Or maybe it was awful, who cares I was 14.

And seriously, they’re own by the same folks as Victoria’s Secret? I… I do not care for their politics. This packaging is amazing but I’m not supporting that.

I get 2-3 “free gift” coupons from B&BW and VS each season, last Fall I was routinely gathering the items that the previous few inhibitants of my address qualified me to have for free (squeeee!! I ❤ FREE!!) I ran across these lip crayons & had to try one. Grabbed a random pink & I got the Peony. It tints the lips in a Crayola-turned-lipstick manner that was hideous, but it smelled so good and moisturizes so well I didn’t even care!! For 3 weeks I walked around a mom of two looking like I had just finished drinking hot pink Kool-Aid…then it ran out & I forgot about it, until I got my Spring coupons. Went yesterday to collect freebies & stock-pile the Yum-olas that these things are. I looked EVERYWHERE!! No luck. So I asked 2 employees & they both looked like I’d ask them for an internal organ. So I hunted down the manager, only to learn they no longer carry them in our store! Idk if it’s all stores or ours, but I can only find them overpriced on eBay!!

oh no! They introduce things so quickly but also, discontinue them just as fast that sucks! I’m sorry Samantha! maybe you can find a replacement? So many brands make chunky lip pencils lately!

They did have their own makeup line back in the late 90’s! My mother bought me a bunch of their stuff including 2 lipsticks in Goldmine and Taupe (yes I still remember the name) a blush and an gold eyeshadow I still have floating around because I’m still looking for a dupe! And I remember their lip glosses being a cult favorite among the middle school crowd. I don’t recall why they discontinued it but it was around the time when LB was acquiring a lot of other brands and I guess they didn’t want to compete with themselves.

I love, love, LOVE Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret lip glosses and lip products in general. They’re phenomenal quality at such a low cost and are extremely hydrating!

Even though B&BW and VS are the same parent company they’ve usually kept it pretty discreet in letting product lines crossover where it’s so blatantly obvious, so I was surprised to see these look exactly like the VS lip pens. They’re even the same exact formula/shades/flavors just renamed but I did really like these.

I was SO HAPPY to stumble across the new VS Beauty Rush holiday lip glosses last week. Have you tried them yet?! If not you MUST get them! It seems like it’s been eternity since VS launched seasonal Beauty Rush collections (I still call them Beauty Rush because despite the name change they’re the same product). They have a swirl collection and a regular collection and I’m loving the swirl ones. Ginger Glaze and Biscotti Crush seriously smell so good and are very hydrating!! I like the Pink Champagne but the formula is different and thinner which I don’t care for. I like the thicker gloss formula on the swirls because it wears better IMO.

Anyway, I hope this is just the start to VS revamping the Beauty Rush collection and we see lots more in the coming months!! Fingers crossed!
