About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this insightful post. Glad I stumbled on your wonderful detailed blogpost.
I totally loved the shades reflect and aura.

    Keep up the good work.

They look pretty, but, honestly, they don’t look any different than all the sparkly cream shadows we have on the market already. Since I can never use these up before they dry out, I try to stick to more budget friendly brands like Colorpop. Swatches in store might change my mind. LOL!

Muse. I think these are expensive for one shadow. Elf has similar one for $4 or $5. Ps. I just ordered the new ABH Norvina palette. Colors look so pretty.

These look pretty but I think they’re kind of expensive for one eyebrow, plus I fear crazy fallout. I will wait for your review!

These remind me of the Peripera Wholly Deep Jewel Pots – but those have a MUCH nicer price tag. Especially since they do have fallout, but they are so gorgeous on the eyes!

$29? Wow. Um…I’ll enjoy watching you try them, but I’ll stick with indie glitter shadow products. They’re usually more earth conscious and they’re far less pricey.

I saw these on the Hourglass web site. Beautiful! They have them swatched and on one model. The model has the gold shade on. The website advises using your finger to apply. They claim you can go sheer to full on glitter ball by patting it on. The instructions also say to replace the inner cap before closing. I really had to restrain myself. I adore the Hourglass aesthetic. I’ll be looking for your review should you decide to make the leap.

wow these look gorgeous! rather steep tho. is neimans the only place that carries them? no chance of them going on sale:(

Sephora, nordstrom will likely get them too! 🙂 Neimans got them early!

I caved; they are stunning. They’re pressed pigments, like the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Shadows (love these so much) or the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows. So, yeah, you can go sheer or really build up to serious disco ball territory. 🙂 The downside, cheap they are not. 😉

I did too! I got two of them! I think they’ll look great for Fall looks! Oh well, we’re weak!

    Egads! $38.00 in Canada!
That is crazy currency conversion! Some brands are seriously lacking in arithmetic skills.
I love all things Hourglass though … given time, I’ll get over the shock & the pink & the gold will be MINE!!! ( evil laugh )

I’ve been wearing the gold one, Foil. I really like how it looks and applies well with a finger. They stay on my eyes with the Laura Mercier primer with no fallout – which is fantastic as I wear glasses every day. Expensive, but I have certainly paid as much for Tom Ford Shadows. I will probably pick up one more. Curious on your thought, Muse.
